FV: Chapter 241

Lin Luoqing and the others waited a week before they finally got the first snow of the winter.

Yu Jiayou was delighted. He shifted his position and quickly moved from the town to the village, waiting for the final scene of Ye Yu to be filmed.

This scene was the plot at the end of the movie.

In the evening, Ye Yu and Xiang Jian laughed and chatted about his marriage. Then he sent out Xiang Jian and the others.

The moment the door opened, he realized that a thick layer of snow had fallen outside the door.
Xiang Jian and the others stepped on the snow and left his yard. Ye Yu followed them.

He stopped in front of his house and listened to Xiang Jian and the others say goodbye to him. He watched them go off into the distance in the night.

He turned his head without any care but now there were more dirty and muddy footprints on the snow.

He looked at the pure white snow in front of him and was stunned for a long time. He stepped on some footprints under the eaves.

In winter, the trees had all died. There were no more flowers in the yard and there were no traces of green. Even the white snow was trampled on and dirty.

Ye Yu suddenly thought of this courtyard full of flowers, colorful and full of life.

But now it was just ashes.

He remembered sitting alone in the vibrant courtyard in the middle of summer, smoking all night. The fire was extinguished and his heart tugged repeatedly.

One day, he wanted to die in a bright and brilliant summer.

Maybe he did die in the summer. Ye Yu looked at the bare leafless trees at the corner of the wall. It was covered with snow but had nothing.

He took out a cigarette from his pocket, like the summer one, and lit it slowly. He began to smoke.

The sparks and smoke were bright and dark. He stood there motionless as if unconscious.

The snow fell slowly. It fell on him and on his cigarette.

From a distance, he looked like a snowman, false and able to think.

He smoked his last cigarette. The smoke went out and his story ended.

It snowed again in the second half of the night, satisfying the final snowfall of the plot.

Lin Luoqing finally completely finished his part the moment the smoke was extinguished.

Wu Xinyuan quickly came to help him dust off the snow on his body. He also handed over a hot water bottle to keep Lin Luoqing warm.

Lin Luoqing was a bit stunned. He was still a bit in the act and hadn’t come out of it.

He vaguely felt that Ye Yu seemed to have died again and also vaguely felt that he was nostalgic for a young man who had been alive.

His world had long lost the pure land. His life had been completely disrupted and he gave up on himself, so he was no longer Ye Yu.

In his heart, Ye Yu really died in the summer.

Wu Xinyuan took Lin Luoqing to the car, poured him a cup of hot water and let him drink a few sips to warm his body.

Lin Luoqing was blown by the heater in the car. He held the water cup and it took a long time to finally relax.

This was actually the first time that this happened. It happened several times to him while filming this movie. It was Yu Jiayou who found it first. Yu Jiayou was so frightened that he immediately sat next to him, watched crosstalk with him and told him jokes. It was out of fear that he couldn’t come out of the act.

“You are more sensitive than you think,” he later told Lin Luoqing. “I didn’t expect that you would enter the act so deeply. Lin Luoqing, you should be careful when accepting roles in the future. If you exceed this degree, I’m afraid you won’t be able to come out of the act.”

Yu Jiayou was one of the rare directors who pursued art on his own and didn’t want to let art delay others.

He liked movies in order to tell stories and convey feelings. This was why he always felt regret for what he liked but he didn’t want his liking to ruin other people’s lives.

He had seen how negative and gloomy many actors were after entering the act. He hoped that other actors wouldn’t become like this, especially Lin Luoqing, who had a bright future.

Lin Luoqing hadn’t expected him to say this. He could feel occasionally that there were times when he seemed to be closer to Ye Yu, but he didn’t have much trouble. He wanted to act in this movie too much.

Every time he got closer to Ye Yu, he was happier and slightly more confident about winning the award.

He had always been a serious actor. If he used to perform 100% seriously in every previous work then he used 200% seriousness this time out of fear he would delay Yu Jiayou.

“I got it,” Lin Luoqing said. “I’ll pay attention in the future.”

Yu Jiayou was rarely mature at this time. He said, “You have to remember that while you are an actor, you are still a living person. Anyone can live without a movie in this world but without you, the lives of many people will become painful. You must do what you can and truly fulfill the role without destroying yourself.”

“It isn’t like what a director like you should say.” Lin Luoqing looked at him with a smile. “I thought that a director like you would be happy to see an actor immersed in the act.”

“Of course, it is gratifying for actors to be immersed but it is worrying if you are too immersed. Every good director loves talent. A director who loves talent will definitely hope that the actor he likes doesn’t have problems because of his work,” Yu Jiayou explained seriously.

Lin Luoqing grasped the point sensitively. “So you like me very much?”

Yu Jiayou thought, ‘??? Should you say this now? Is that the point? In addition, why do I like you? Your words are very ambiguous, you know?’

Yu Jiayou felt that this person was probably out of the act if he could make such sharp turns with his brain.

He glanced at Lin Luoqing rather arrogantly. “Let’s leave it to Ji Yuxiao to like you.”

Then he stood up and went about his own business.

Lin Luoqing looked at his back and laughed. He thought at this time that Yu Jiayou wasn’t as stern and arrogant as the novel.

…Lin Luoqing thought about his previous state and sighed lowly.

He thought that he really wanted to act in this movie well.

Flying snowflakes came in with the sudden cold air. Lin Luoqing was blown by the wind and once he emerged from his past memories, he saw Yu Jiayou.

“You go back,” Yu Jiayou said. “Take a good rest. Tomorrow, we will hold a finale party for you and you can go home.”

“Okay,” Lin Luoqing replied.

Yu Jiayou closed the car door and Lin Luoqing leaned back against the chair.

Filming had finished. Now he could let go of the burden in his heart.

Most of the time, Lin Luoqing enjoyed filming. However, once this enjoyment had the shackles of an award, even someone as open-minded as him would inevitably feel heavy. It was when he was so deeply immersed this time.

Fortunately, he finally finished and could come out of the act.

Lin Luoqing went back to the hotel, took a shower and fell asleep on the bed.

Surprisingly, he slept in and didn’t get up until noon.

After eating, Lin Luoqing hurriedly went to the set.

Shi Zheng still had a few scenes to film and hadn’t finished yet. Lin Luoqing watched from a distance and felt that Shi Zheng’s acting skills were really getting better.

Yu Jiayou was a director who was good at digging out things in people. According to the characteristics of each other, he could find the fit between them and the role and deepen the fit. This would make them more comfortable with this role and make the actor think they were the role.

Shi Zheng was such a straightforward person but under the director’s digging, he was now no different from a gangster on the street. At a glance, it was hard to even tell that he was a star.

After a scene was filmed, Shi Zheng saw him in the distance and came over.

“I heard Director Yu say that you have finished filming?” he asked.

Lin Luoqing nodded. “You should be finished soon as well.”

“Yes, a few more days.”

“Then good luck.”

As the two of them were talking, they saw Ning Yu coming toward this side and Shi Zheng gave him a wink.

Lin Luoqing looked at Ning Yu in front of him and said deliberately, “Screenwriter Ning, do you want to hand me a script again?”

Ning Yu was stunned. Then he laughed as if he remembered when ‘All the Way to the West’ finished filming.

“Of course not,” he said. “I came to thank you. Without your help, Jiayou will probably be very uncomfortable right now. He might not be as miserable as Ye Yu but his spiritual world would’ve also died this summer.”

Lin Luoqing smiled softly and said, “Then you should thank yourself more. If you didn’t help give me the script, how could I see this wonderful script and how could I cooperate with you?”

“Ning Yu, you are the person you should be more grateful to.”

Ning Yu heard this and lowered his head with some embarrassment.

Yu Jiayou had asked people to prepare the finale cake and he shouted excitedly, “Lin Luoqing, come and cut the cake. Let’s take a group photo.”

“Okay.” Lin Luoqing pulled Ning Yu and they went over together.

They stood in front of a green hill. Lin Luoqing stood between Yu Jiayou and Shi Zheng and held the flowers that Yu Jiayou had picked from somewhere.

Everyone looked at the lens. Under the countdown of the photographer’s ‘three, two, one’, they shouted together, “Happy finale.”

Everyone was smiling and happy in the photo. Everyone was full of anticipation for the future.

Yu Jiayou wouldn’t know that in the novel, he had stood alone in a lonely village, silently finishing the dream in his heart. There was no cake, no flowers and no future that he could see.

It was just like Shi Zheng in the novel. He had still been running around as an extra in the crew at this time. He asked himself if he wanted to give up or continue to persist.

In the novel, Ning Yu would also know that he still failed to help his friend fulfill his wish in the end. When Yu Jiayou came down from the podium to find him, he looked at his former best friend and watched the movie Yu Jiayou had written, directed and acted in by himself. Ning Yu knew he wasn’t wrong but he was still forever guilty about turning his back and leaving first.

Now they all gathered around Lin Luoqing, who shouldn’t have appeared in this world. Everyone was proud of themselves and still dreaming of a beautiful youth.

Lin Luoqing had finished filming while the others still needed to film for another day or two. He was thinking about Ji Yuxiao and his two children, so he didn’t continue to stay in the crew. He headed back to the city first.

Ji Yuxiao knew he was coming back and specially asked Aunt Zhang to cook several dishes. It was out of fear that he hadn’t eaten well for a while.

Lin Luoqing went to pick up Lin Fei and Ji Leyu first.

It had been a few months since the airing of ‘Radiance’, but the Spring Festival was approaching and publicity for ‘All the Way to the West’ had begun, so his face was still well-known.

Lin Luoqing didn’t get out of the car. He sat in the car and waited for the two children because he wanted to surprise them.

Ji Leyu dragged Lin Fei into the car. When he saw Lin Luoqing sitting in the car, he was really surprised and threw himself into Lin Luoqing’s arms.

Lin Luoqing hugged him and stretched out to the left. He took Lin Fei into his arms and kissed him one by one. “Daddy’s little baby.”

Ji Leyu obediently sat on his other side, letting Lin Luoqing sit between him and Lin Fei.

“Dad, how long can you stay this time?” Ji Leyu asked.

Lin Luoqing felt a bit guilty.

He originally planned to accompany the two children for a while, especially Lin Fei.

However, ‘All the Way to the West’ was scheduled for the first day of the new year. This also meant that the promotion for the movie would start. Lin Luoqing was a starring actor and also a popular actor. How could he be absent so often?

Director Li probably considered the filming of ‘Return to Jade’ so he said that Lin Luoqing only needed to come to the road publicity shows in the week before the Spring Festival. This could be regarded as giving him enough time.

“I will first stay with you until the end of the month and then go to work for a week or two. After that, I can stay with you for three to five months.”

Ji Leyu heard ‘three to five months’ and was pleasantly surprised. “Dad, don’t you have to go to work this year?”

“I won’t be as busy as last year. Then I will be able to pick you up and drop you off at school every day and I will be with you every day.”

Lin Fei heard this and silently lowered his head. He thought to himself that Lin Luoqing really did what he said that night.

He was a bit happy but he didn’t show it

Lin Luoqing looked at him with his unspoken words, lowered his head close to this little head and kissed his face.

“Kiss Dad,” he told Lin Fei in a soft voice.

Lin Fei turned his head and didn’t look at him.

Lin Luoqing laughed, rubbed his head and turned to look at Ji Leyu. “Xiao Yu, kiss Dad.”

Ji Leyu immediately kissed him sweetly on the face.

After he finished kissing, he also obediently said to Lin Luoqing, “Kiss again for my brother.”

Lin Luoqing raised an eyebrow and teased him. “Then after you kiss me, kiss your brother for me.”

“Okay.”

Ji Leyu replied and kissed him on the face again.

He immediately leaned toward Lin Fei. “Brother, get closer to me. I can’t kiss you.”

Lin Fei, “……”

Lin Fei was cold and unmoved.

Ji Leyu wasn’t annoyed. Lin Fei didn’t get close so he moved closer. He leaned toward the side of Lin Fei’s face and kissed him.

Lin Fei originally wanted to avoid it. Then he noticed that Ji Leyu was crossing over Lin Luoqing so he didn’t move and let Ji Leyu kiss him.

The moment Ji Leyu finished kissing, Lin Luoqing said, “Xiao Yu kissed your brother for me so Dad will kiss your brother for you.”

After saying this, Lin Luoqing kissed the caught off-guard Lin Fei on the face.

Lin Fei, “???”

“Then I’ll kiss Dad again,” Ji Leyu said positively.

Lin Fei, “???”

Lin Fei silently widened the distance. He leaned against the car window and watched the two of them warily.

Why was it endless?

No more kisses!

So clingy!

Lin Fei turned his head and looked out the window, but his ears were a bit red.

Lin Luoqing laughed and looked down at Ji Leyu, whose eyes also curved as he smiled.

Lin Luoqing raised his hand to scratch Ji Leyu’s little nose. Then he reached out and rubbed Lin Fei’s head.

He was satisfied to see that Lin Fei’s ears turned even redder.

His two little babies were so cute.

He had to say that the feeling of home was really good.
