FLBG Chapter 4

Went to the Boss's House

Edited by Zaki

Jiang Ye’s crow mouth had spoken true words, as the Big Boss was indeed ill.

But he didn’t go to the hospital this time, he just took a handful of medicine and continued working.

Jiang Ye had always felt that the industry he worked in, although it looked glamorous to the outsiders, was in fact actually quite hard.

They worked from dusk till dawn while filming, but compared with the hard work of this Big Boss, it paled in comparison.

He sat down at the table again, ready to chatter, and then looked over in confusion.

The Big Boss had opened a drawer under the table only for a few seconds, but in these few seconds, he clearly saw a stack of documents with a few clear words: Last Will and Testament.

What the hell!

Jiang Ye jumped down from the table in shock, and then looked at the computer seriously.

All the densely packed documents were all about one name: Jiang Ye.

An incredible idea quickly came to mind, and Jiang Ye looked at Xie Chen in shock.

Was this a martyrdom for love?

“Ge, it’s probably not what I am thinking right? The world is worth it, I’m not worth it!”

Xie Chen stopped and looked at the photos on the computer screen. His cold eyebrows were filled with affection: “Wait for me.”

Jiang Ye finally understood the meaning of these two words.

Oh my God!

Da Ge, you are too scary!

“Absolutely, absolutely not! You can’t risk your life chasing stars! Think about your family, your career, and the countless beauties you will have in the future, fame and fortune. I am just a little star, so don’t go crazy!”

“Which of my characters do you like? That’s definitely not the real me. I’m just a stupid, two-bit, salted fish with no ideals who just wants to eat and drink, Ge, don’t you ever think about it!”

Xie Chen put his fingers on his temples.

The faith he had been working hard for suddenly collapsed. If it hadn’t been for the auditory hallucinations, he would have been reluctant to let go of the voices inside and would have wanted to accompany him.

He vaguely heard a coherent sentence, “Beautiful women, fame and wealth.”

If he had known that there would be life and death separation, and he liked women… it wouldn’t have mattered.

In the middle of the night, Jiang Ye finally saw the Big Boss’s home.

It was not as mysterious as he had imagined. Big Boss lived in a high-end community with good privacy in the heart of the city.

The car drove directly into the underground garage. Xie Chen stood in the elevator and closed his eyes slightly.

Two figures were reflected in the elevator’s mirror.

One was a man with a cool, distant aura and a face so strikingly handsome it made one’s heart skip a beat yet kept them at a distance. He stood there as still as a statue.

The other was slightly smaller, with a handsome yet delicate face. His peach-blossom eyes twinkled, his brows arched upward, and his knees were slightly bent as he looked up intently at the taller man.

While observing, he muttered: “Big Boss Ge, it’s safe to assume that you don’t aspire to be in the entertainment industry. Otherwise, with your looks, my looks could be considered only as a false ceiling.”

Jiang Ye raised his head and looked at the man’s perfect jawline. Along the chin were the beautifully curved thin lips, the straight nose, and the shadow cast by the dark eyelashes.

Unable to hold back, he reached out and touched the man’s beautiful lips.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk, such slender lips, it’s really amazing.”

There was thunder outside again. The weather forecast had announced that due to an unnamed typhoon, Jinzhou would enter the rainy season early.

It was at this moment that the man suddenly opened his eyes, and his pupils suddenly constricted when he looked at the elevator door.

On the blurry reflective surface of the elevator, a young man stretched out his hand to explore his lips.

He could recognize who that person was even if it was just a finger.

The heart that hadn’t been beating for a long time as if it had stopped, seemed to collapse in an instant like a ten thousand year old glacier, beating wildly.

He slowly shifted his gaze to the space in front of him. There was nothing there.

He looked back at the elevator door. Nothing.

The man’s thin lips pressed together, regretting his decision to look away.

Now, was he even having visual hallucinations?

Jiang Ye studied the Big Boss’s appearance for a while, and then sadly discovered that he, who thought he was the most handsome in the world, was really just a little bit inferior to the Big Boss.

Bored, he leaned against the opposite wall of the elevator, oblivious to the man’s reaction.

His mind was filled with something serious and prudent.

The Big Boss wouldn’t be really thinking about it, would he?

Probably not. I’ve heard of fans risking their lives for their idols, but those are usually brainless women who ignore their parents and friends, selfishly believing their love is greater than the heavens.

But who was the Big Boss?

This was a man who possessed a business brain whose IQ was called the most valuable in his country by the foreign media.

 “Ding.”

The elevator opened to the top floor.

Jiang Ye followed the Big Boss out in a hurry. After taking a look, he saw that there was only one house on the entire floor.

Jiang Ye was still a little excited.

The door opened, and there was no light in the dim room. It was raining outside, and Jiang Ye realized that it was thundering and raining again.

“Now I really wonder if the Heavens has discovered me, the Purple Star forgotten by King Yama, and wants to use this method to scare me to death and force me to go back.”

Jiang Ye had always been afraid of the dark, so he kept the lights on in his room at night.

But he was most afraid of thunderstorms. When it thundered, he couldn’t fall asleep and hid in bed, under the quilt, shivering.

Xie Chen turned on the lights in the living room, and then turned on the lights in all the rooms in turn.

As soon as the light came on, Jiang Ye’s handsome features relaxed and he began to look at the house.

Leaning on the ten-meter wide floor-to-ceiling window and looking out, his lips slightly opened in surprise.

From here, Yujin Mountain was laid bare before him. To the south, the skyline of the financial district stretched across the horizon, and to the west, Lake Willda shimmered in the distance.

The view was extremely broad, with mountains, lakes and people, which he has always liked, both noisy and quiet. Big Boss really knew how to choose a house.

Jiang Ye watched carefully, and an earthquake-like thunder sounded unexpectedly, followed by a flash of light that instantly lit up the night sky.

Jiang Ye was so frightened that he turned around and ran away, just in time to see the Big Boss coming back after turning on all the lights.

Without saying a word, he jumped up, hugged the Big Boss’s neck and angrily said, “Fuck, fuck! Scared me to death!”

The man’s body went rigid, frozen in place.

If this had been a hallucination before, it was now a full-blown delusion.

Against the backdrop of the pitch-black sky outside the window, the figure he had seen countless times in his dreams was now clinging to him, arms locked around his neck. Only a silhouette was visible on the glass—the exact same one from his childhood.

Whenever a thunderstorm rolled in, the fearless little tyrant would transform into a trembling ball of fluff.

The man didn’t dare look away. After a long moment, he reached out to touch the faint outline of a waist on the glass. His hand passed right through the image, meeting only empty air.

The rare starlight in the man’s eyes instantly vanished, leaving only darkness.

Anyway, that’s fine too.
