Si Sheng was walking in the corridor while his original adjutant, Qiu Zheng, was following him.

The gentle-looking adjutant looked up at the sunset in the sky. His eyes gleamed under his round-rimmed glasses and he looked like he was about to cry with joy.

He finally got off work on time!

No more overtime work!

He reached the fork in the road and waved happily to Si Sheng. “Lord Marshal, see you tomorrow.”

He could see that his boss wasn’t in a good mood but Qiu Zheng, who left work early for the first time, couldn’t manage such things.

He said goodbye and turned around happily, preparing to meet Administrator Wen for a few drinks or perhaps he could play a few games with Chief Guard Li.

He needed to socialize, normal socializing!

Si Sheng looked at this person’s back but his mind was a bit empty.

He didn’t know what happened to His Majesty…

Si Sheng’s thin lips slightly pursed as he thought of the young man’s concealment and concern for the former emperor. The hands hanging by his side were clenched into fists.

Even if the young man said it, Si Sheng could no longer go to the trial world to make trouble for the former emperor. Why hide it from him? Was he… so unworthy of Lord God’s trust?

In fact, he had a feeling about it before.

His Majesty: I woke up.

Si Sheng pursed his lips. He was just about to tell this person to eat when another message came.

His Majesty: I have washed up. Do you want to come over?

Si Sheng blinked as he looked at the short sentence, his mind racing.

The long finger lightly tapped his collar. He hesitated for around three seconds before disappearing in place.

Si Sheng arrived at the emperor’s bedroom and found that only a small lamp was turned on by the bed. It was very quiet.

The veil-like drapery was tied up and revealed the silhouette of a figure sitting at the head of the bed.

Si Sheng approached him.

The silver-haired youth sat with his back against a pillow. The quilt covered him to the waist and he was reading a book.

Once Si Sheng came to the bedside, the young man raised his beautiful purple eyes. His lips curved slightly and he said softly, “You’re here.”

Gulp.

Si Sheng’s Adam’s apple moved up and down.

The young man was wearing a white shirt rather than pajamas and…

It was his shirt.

The size didn’t fit him. It looked a bit wide on the young man’s body and was loose. The buttons weren’t done up properly and the collar was open, revealing snow-white skin.

“Come here.”

The young man beckoned to him.

Si Sheng’s body stiffened. Then he raised his feet and walked over. He turned his back and sat on the edge of the bed, looking sideways at the young man.

He wasn’t going to go to bed.

At the very least, he didn’t want to have that type of intimate behavior with Lord God again until the suffocating emotions in his heart were digested.

He might be eager but he didn’t want to be with Lord God with such emotions.

It was just that sometimes things didn’t happen as he wished.

Perhaps he saw that something was wrong but the young man closed the book and placed it on the bedside table. Then he leaned over, wrapped his arms around Si Sheng’s shoulder and pressed his entire body against Si Sheng’s back.

“Si Sheng…”

The two of them stayed silent for a while without anyone saying anything. This lasted until the night outside became deeper and silvery white moonlight poured in from outside.

Xu Sili looked at the moonlight outside the window. He felt the night wind blowing in slightly and felt a bit cold. This made him no longer pretend to be dead.

He rolled over, grabbed the quilt and wrapped himself up.

Si Sheng quietly watched him move. Then Si Sheng chose to rest on the mattress with his elbow, his upper body slightly propped up.

Xu Sili was wrapped in the quilt and only his head was exposed.

He saw Si Sheng’s originally white and flawless military uniform and his eyes dodged. He said with some embarrassment, “I stained your clothes…”

Si Sheng looked at him and his lips curled up. “I also had a part in it.”

Xu Sili saw this smile and felt that Si Sheng really exuded charm all the time.

“Aren’t you angry at me?”

He reached out and touched Si Sheng’s cheek.

The smile on Si Sheng’s face faded. He took the young man’s hand and kissed the palm.

“I’m not angry at you.”

He was just angry that he hadn’t done enough to really win the heart of Lord God.

Xu Sili saw the other person’s gloomy expression and was a bit puzzled.

Was it really that important to know the price he paid to activate that magic circle?

He frowned and hesitated over whether to tell Si Sheng or not.

But…

He remembered the dream he had during the day. What if Sheng really went crazy and went to dig up the tomb of the former emperor?

Xu Sili sighed sadly. Then he saw the man sitting up. Seeing this lonely back, he suddenly remembered something.

It was something that should’ve been done a long time ago in the trial world. It just wasn’t done due to their physical health at the time.

He crawled over. Just as Si Sheng was about to get up, he stretched out his hands to embrace the other person and rested his forehead against Si Sheng’s back.

“Si Sheng, let’s fall in love,” he said softly.

The moment he finished speaking, he obviously felt the man’s body freezing up.
