VCRMM: Chapter 241

Special Chapter: Future One

TL Note: So this is one of the extras that the author has written, and is also the longest extra spanning over a hundred chapters. It is about the future timeline 10 years from now. The author will intersperse a few chapters about this future timeline through the main storyline. Not many, just a few. Then in the extras, the author will continue and expand on it.

“D*m, the God of Death has exploded again!”

Early in the morning, such a post appeared on the Starry Sky Age forum, attracting the attention of countless players. The post became a hot topic almost instantly.

The God of Death naturally wasn’t a new NPC. It was the title given to the big demon Si Sheng after he exploded a certain planet with a sword.

[I just woke up! What’s going on? Which planet will explode this time?]

[To be honest, Si Sheng’s combat prowess is too awesome! Who can take down such a wild boss?]

[Can’t beat it, can’t beat it, can’t beat it at all.]

[So which planet did he explode? Did anyone take a video?]

[Link.]

[Go and see for yourself! The God of Death is really awesome.]

Countless players clicked into the video.

After so many years of development, Starry Sky Age was now the most popular game in the world. It had become the second world for humanity.

It might be early in the morning, but the 10 minute video had just been released and had already been viewed by over 10 million people. The number was still soaring.

This video was shot by a player who was on an interstellar voyage. The first few seconds of the video were filled with the ever-changing universe and meteorites passed by the ship’s hull from time to time.

“Brothers, Junior Brother is here!”

A voice was heard in the video.

As the voice came out, the video camera suddenly changed directions and a planet appeared.

“Do you see that planet?”

The spaceship stopped moving forward and the camera kept advancing. It was obvious that people on the voyage had discovered something abnormal.

[D*mn, isn’t this Bewatt Star?]

[It really seems like the planet of lizardmen! F*k, why did the God of Death attack the big lizard?]

[No, my mount!]

The camera was still advancing. At a certain moment, the barrage suddenly cleared and everyone fell silent.

They saw a figure floating quietly in front of the huge planet.

The man was dressed in a snow-white military uniform and had bright blond hair. He looked particularly eye-catching in the dark starry sky.

This was supposed to be a bright and comfortable color combination, but just looking at this person’s back, everyone couldn’t help holding their breath to concentrate. The hairs on their backs stood up.

They saw that this man’s body was surrounded by a strong and almost substantial evil spirit, full of the aura of destruction. The meteorites moving in an orderly manner turned into powder silently before they even got close to him.

Around that figure, there were thousands of starships. At a glance, they knew that they were players who wanted to defeat the wild boss.

[F*k, it is the real God of Death! The living death!]

[which force is this person from? They are so awesome that they want to defeat Si Sheng?]

[Is it from the Bewatt faction?]

[How did they bring Si Sheng here?]

[Hurry up and turn the camera. I want to see Si Sheng’s face. Such a rare opportunity!]

[If the full face is filmed, the streamer is probably dead and can’t be seen.]

[I really find it strange. Si Sheng has betrayed Roland for so long. Why is he still wearing this marshal uniform? It looks well-maintained.]

[I guess he still has feelings for Roland.]

The players watching the video were talking a lot when the figure in the camera suddenly moved.

They saw him raise his right hand in the direction of Bewatt Star.

Everyone stared with bated breath. Then—

Bang!

A dazzling golden glow filled the screen. Nothing could be seen except the constantly shaking lens.

The publisher’s voice appeared in the video again.

“Oh, it is really awesome! When I saw this battle, I didn’t dare get close at all. Fortunately, I was timid or my starship would’ve been blown up!”

“But the worst thing is the group of fools in the Bewatt faction. Not only is their planet gone, but thousands of battleships have been turned to ashes!”

“I asked my friends about it. It seems that these idiots heard that the God of Death was looking for someone, so they used the news to lure him to their base camp and even made him lose his sword of his own initiative.”

“Those idiots thought that the cause of the God of Death exploding that planet was the divine sword. But once Si Sheng raised his hand, they were directly wiped out!”

“They were blown up! I’m telling you, it is really awesome!”

The publisher of the video muttered to himself. Not long after, the golden light in the video slowly disappeared. The audience could see the star field there. It was originally open and suitable for navigation, but now it was covered with rubble after the golden light.

The originally huge planet and the thousands of starships had long disappeared without a trace, turning into cosmic dust.

As all the players were talking about it and laughing at the players in the Bewatt faction, Si Sheng had already left Bewatt Star’s territory.

He wandered aimlessly in the universe. By the time he came to his senses, he found that he was back in a familiar galaxy.

Under his feet was Escher Star, the territory of the Roland Empire.

He floated quietly in the void, looking at the planet that was being built to become more and more beautiful.

His gray-blue eyes were now dim and dull. The blue was almost gone and it was almost completely gray, turning toward black.

It had been almost 15 years…

It had been almost 15 years since he came to this world.

“Why haven’t you shown up yet? Have you completely forgotten me?” He murmured in a low voice, speaking words that only he could understand.

“You don’t care even if I betray Roland? Then…”

“What if I destroy it?”

The moment these words came out, the originally silent energy in his body suddenly rose and his gray-blue eyes turned completely gray-black.

He stared hard at the planet in front of him. The corners of his mouth slightly twitched as deep hatred appeared in his expression.

“Yes, you should appear if it is destroyed, right? If that isn’t enough, what about this entire universe? Will you care when this world is completely destroyed?”

If the whole world wasn’t enough, then it seemed that there was no meaning for him to exist in this world any longer.

Let it all be destroyed with him!

A dangerous aura filled the air. The starships guarding the vicinity of Escher Star finally discovered him and rushed toward him.

There was panic in the voice channel of the players.

“D*mn, why is the God of Death here? What is he here for? Destroying a planet?”

“Fk fk f*k, what should we do now? He seems to have just exploded Bewatt Star? Is he going to destroy Escher Star now?”

The group of starships hovered around Si Sheng but didn’t dare to get close.

Just as everyone was feeling worse, a female voice was suddenly heard. “I’ll go and negotiate with him!”

“Negotiate? Is Si Sheng a person who will listen to negotiations?”

“The worst situation is death!”

Si Sheng glanced at the gathering starships indifferently. Just as he was about to take action—

“Marshal Si Sheng, wait a minute!”

A starship broke away from the group and flew over. Since sound couldn’t be transmitted in space, a large light curtain was projected above the starship with a line of text on it.

Si Sheng looked at the starship with cold eyes.

Marshal… it had been a long time since he heard anyone call him that.

Suddenly, another line of text appeared.

“Are you planning to destroy Roland?”

“Have you forgotten His Majesty Snow?”

Snow? Si Sheng frowned. The name that had long been forgotten in an inconspicuous corner of his mind suddenly jumped out in a grand manner.

The players watching this scene were all shocked.

F*k!

Si Sheng and Snow? Was it a Si x Snow fan? Girl, why was she thinking about her fan CP now? What was the use of telling Si Sheng about this at such a dangerous moment?

Just as everyone was feeling confused and thinking they might as well run away, pictures suddenly appeared on the light screen of the starship.

This was the fanart on the forum!

One by one, from warm and sweet to full of lust. Finally, it froze on a single picture.

In the picture, the young silver-haired emperor was standing by the window with the sun shining on him. He turned sideways and looked toward the camera, smiling slightly, his purple eyes filled with love.

Si Sheng looked at these pictures in a daze.

He knew that the person in the picture wasn’t him at all, but an inexplicable feeling came over his heart.

This feeling told him that the person who appeared in these pictures was indeed him, and that these things really happened…

Si Sheng covered his head in pain. Memories from a distant time and space suddenly poured into his mind, as if telling him some facts.

He clutched his head tightly in both hands. At one point, a streak of bloody tears slipped down from his right eye.

Boom boom boom!

The nearest starships suddenly exploded one after another.

In the bright light, Si Sheng clutched his hair and roared and screamed in despair. Silently, blood continued to spill out of his mouth. It turned into beads of blood that floated in the void before finally dyeing his snow-white and floated military uniform red.

The next moment, his figure disappeared. No one knew where he had gone.

Roland’s Imperial City, the royal cemetery.

In the depths of the cemetery, a tomb was built. The name of the 15th ruler of the Roland Empire was engraved on the tombstone.

No one had been there for a long time.

In the beginning, Roland’s 16th emperor would come here once a month. But the nation was busy. He eventually stopped coming and the place seemed to be forgotten.

On this day, a crack suddenly opened in the sky above the mausoleum and a figure walked out of it.

The man, dressed in a blood-stained military uniform with the cloak long gone, clutched his chest as he staggered to the mausoleum. Finally, he collapsed in front of the tombstone.

The man looked at the tombstone, remembering the ‘truth’ he had just learned. He was crying and laughing while constantly coughing up blood.

“Why…?”

He hugged himself and slumped in front of the tombstone. His tall figure curled up in a ball and he looked helpless and desperate.

“Lord God!” He shouted loudly.

In the empty mausoleum, his voice could be heard from far away. However, no one seemed able to respond to him any longer.

He was still coughing up blood. The spilled blood stained the ground red. With it, his originally strong vitality dissipated…

“Hey, are you okay?”

Just as his consciousness was about to dissipate, Si Sheng faintly heard a familiar voice.

He struggled to open his eyes. Then he froze.

He saw a translucent, black-haired young man sitting cross-legged in mid-air. He stuck his head out, dark eyes looking at Si Sheng curiously.

“Why do I think you are a bit familiar?” The black-haired young man muttered. “Oh, you can’t see me either…”

Si Sheng stretched out his hand to the young man in a daze.

“You…”

The black-haired young man’s words dissipated in the wind. Suddenly, he felt a suction force. Due to this suction, he uncontrollably approached Si Sheng.

Finally, Si Sheng grabbed his translucent arms, pulled the young man into his arms and hugged him tightly.

“Finally… found you…” he muttered.
