OIAA: Chapter 31
The College Abilities League was about to open and the ceremony was hosted on Zorfa Star in the second galaxy.
After completing the ceremony, 24 teams from doing ability schools all over the universe would start the fierce preliminary matches to compete for six tickets to go to the second half of the competition.
The Sublime Star Abilities Association departed one day in advance and their time was relatively ample. They arrived at the airport and successfully boarded the light ship. Then they started the long interstellar journey.
This was the second time Yi Jiamu had been on a long distance ship. After taking off, he wasn’t in a hurry to sleep and sat at the window to watch the starry scenery outside.
Gu Yesheng cocked his head and asked with a smile, “Is it good-looking?”
Yi Jiamu nodded. “Good-looking.”
Gu Yesheng’s eyes skimmed the side profile and his smile became bigger. “It is very good to look at.”
In the first half of the journey, everyone was very excited. It wasn’t until they were scolded by the accompanying professor Guan Xueming that they quieted down. Soon, some people went to sleep.
In the gradually quiet cabin, Gu Yesheng watched Yi Jiamu take out a pack of nutrients solution from his space necklace and carefully poured it onto his cactus in his arms. Gu Yesheng couldn’t help examining the cactus closely. Apart from the unique name, the only thing special about Yi Jiamu’s cactus was that it seemed a bit greener than ordinary plants.
Yi Jiamu finished pouring the nutrients solution and looked up to see Gu Yesheng’s gaze. “What is it?”
Gu Yesheng told him, “I didn’t expect for you to like this type of little plant.”
“Cici isn’t a normal plant. It is like my…” Yi Jiamu seriously thought of the wording and found a word he thought was the most accurate. “Child!”
Gu Yesheng, “………”
Yi Jiamu waited but Gu Yesheng was silent. Therefore, he carefully raised Cici in front of him like he was asking for approval. “Isn’t it cute?”
Gu Yesheng met this expectant gaze, pursed his lips and lowered his eyes slightly. “It is very cute.”

Everyone arrived at the airport of Zorfa Star and the person picking them up was waiting early in the morning.
Based on the arrival time of each school team, the local Masters Association specifically arranged personnel to be responsible for contact. The person who met them this time was called Deng Hao. He was a B-grade qualified master. He held a sign at the exit and successfully met them. He took Sublime Star’s group and boarded the space car for the hotel.
Zorfa Star was in a galaxy with an extremely rapid development of technology. It was a planet frequently visited by ability masters and also introduced many new technologies. Therefore, just by looking at the shapes of these buildings, they could feel a strong cultural difference. The prosperity was obviously better compared to the main city near Sublime Star’s campus.
Deng Hao was a very dedicated person. Every time they passed a characteristic building, he would give a warm introduction.
The opening ceremony of the Abilities League would change their location every year. Some of the old members of Sublime Star’s team came to Zorfa for the first time and they were quite interested.
Yi Jiamu was lying against the window and so dazzled that he couldn’t move at all. This lasted until the space car made a quick turn. He failed to stabilize his body and couldn’t help falling into Gu Yesheng’s arms. Gu Yesheng raised his eyebrow with a smile and stretched out his hand to support the other person. “Little friend, be careful.”
Xu Yi noticed the movements and couldn’t help whistling. “The two of you, can you pay attention to your influence?”
Gu Yesheng had been ready to lift Yi Jiamu. Now he raised his eyebrows slightly and returned his hands back to their original position as he enjoyed this person being in his arms. His tone was provocative. “How to pay attention? Like this?”
Xu Yi was speechless due to this stinky and shameless behaviour. He was about to say something when he saw Yi Jiamu remove Gu Yesheng’s hand. In the blink of an eye, he had jumped up and looked out the window. Then he complained unhappily. “I just saw an interesting place and now it can’t be seen anymore.”
Xu Yi laughed loudly. “Yes, blame him, blame him. It is all him.”
Gu Yesheng glared coldly at this guy stirring up the flames and straightened some of Yi Jiamu’s messy clothes while comforting him, “If you can’t see it then you can’t see it. However, if you want to go somewhere then tell me and I’ll take you there directly when there is time.”
Zhou Ming turned back when he heard the words. “This feeling is good. Can a listener participate?”
Gu Yesheng’s lips curved up in a smile. “Are you sure?”
The moment he finished talking, Zhou Ming felt a coolness on the back of his neck and he reluctantly said, “Who wants to go?”
Lu Zexiu had been closing his eyes and resting. At this time, he opened his mouth. “It is forbidden to act privately during the competition.”
Zhou Ming exclaimed, “The president is mighty!”
Gu Yesheng, “………”
The others were clearly happy to see him deflated and couldn’t help teasing him. “The president said you can’t act privately. Did you hear it?”
Gu Yesheng was too lazy to talk to these guys. He leaned toward Yi Jiamu’s ear and spoke at a volume that only the two of them could hear. “Don’t listen to them. We will secretly go.”

This type of whisper passed through his ears. It was clearly an ordinary tone but he felt itchy.
Gu Yesheng looked sideways and met the light apricot coloured eyes. He smiled and couldn’t help opening his mouth. He was about to say something when there was a huge explosion in the distance that interrupted the two people.
The overwhelming movement caused the surroundings to shake twice. The original unobstructed traffic was affected and there was a period of stagnation as all the vehicles couldn’t help stopping. Zhou Ming quickly grabbed a fixed part beside him so he didn’t fall to the ground.
He looked up and saw that Xiang Zhuo and Gu Yesheng had grabbed a person each. AS for the others, they were somewhat embarrassed except for Lu Zexiu.
Zhou Ming couldn’t help wondering, “What’s going on?”
Lu Zexiu slowly opened his eyes and stared in front of him out the window. He could clearly see a cloud of smoke in the distance and it wasn’t difficult to vaguely see fire.
Xu Yi helped Gong Yue up from the ground in a gentlemanly manner. He didn’t forget to tidy up his clothes while frowning. “The shaking was so big. Did something explode?”
The teacher Guan Xueming say that everyone wasn’t worried but were ready to move. He immediately sternly ordered them to return to their positions, forcibly dispelling their thoughts of joining in the fun.
At this time, Deng Hao received a call from the location Ability Masters Association. “Yes, we are now near the Sophis Building. Yes, the Sublime Star team members are all… what? How can that be? “The association just told me that there was a mech accident near the lot block in front.” Deng Hao apparently hadn’t expected such an accident and rubbed his temples due to a headache. “It happened that today was the day of the second galaxy’s mech exhibition. During the collective demonstration, a mech suddenly went out of control. The road ahead is completely blocked and the people of the city’s administration are trying to get rid of it.”
Yi Jiamu was being held in Gu Yesheng’s arms. For a moment, he forgot his posture and exclaimed with surprise, “A mech accident?”
He remembered Sang Bei telling him about the relevant news shortly after school started. He didn’t expect to encounter it today.
Xu Yi was stunned. “Then the explosion just now was caused by the mech at the exhibition? This is a bit fierce!”
Deng Hao secretly wiped away his sweat. “I don’t know the specific situation but the road ahead of us is really messy. We probably need to change our route.”
He barely finished speaking when a voice was heard as the driver looked in the rear-view mirror. “I’m sorry, I’m afraid we won’t be able to change the route for the moment.”
The people from the mech exhibition scattered to escape and directly blocked the nearby roads. Traffic had basically been paralyzed and it was impossible to move at all unless they walked. Deng Hao had a terrible headache.
Yi Jiamu moved away from Gu Yesheng and stared silently for a moment. Then he pointed in front of him and asked, “Is this the out of control mech you’re talking about?”
Gu Yesheng felt his arms becoming empty and didn’t seem happy. He followed the direction of Yi Jiamu’s fingers and became slightly stunned.
In the growing flames, a huge outline could vaguely be seen coming out of the black smoke. It headed in their direction and every step it took caused a shockwave. The scene was becoming more and more chaotic.
Deng Hao’s face was pale and he cursed loudly. “F*k, didn’t the people of the city management control this guy?”
He was about to call the number of the masters association again to ask for support when he heard Lu Zexiu ask calmly, “Were there any security checks in advance for the Zolfa exhibition?”
Deng Hao froze for a moment. “Of course! After all, it is being held in the main city area and the safety factor of the mech must be strictly controlled in advance.”
Hearing this, Gu Yesheng couldn’t help laughing. “Are you sure? Looking at the extent of the damage, isn’t this at least the level of a combat mech?”
He spoke casually. After all, he wasn’t very interested in this. However, Deng Hao completely stiffened in place. Gu Yesheng ignored him and stared at Yi Jiamu.
Gu Yesheng thought the child would be scared by the sudden situation and wanted to comfort him. As a result, he could see the fire in the distance reflected in the apricot coloured eyes. Yi Jiamu was staring at the approaching giant with interest.
He couldn’t help leaning over and asking curiously, “What are you looking at?”
Yi Jiamu turned his head with bright eyes., “It turns out that this is the combat mech often mentioned on the Star Network. I finally saw it in person.”
Gu Yesheng stared at Yi Jiamu for a moment before leaning back in his chair slowly. He couldn’t help laughing. “I’m glad you like it.”
Yi Jiamu searched through his bag and pulled out his terminal in order to take photos.
Seeing the mech approaching their direction, Guan Xueming told Deng Hao to evacuate everyone from the car. He saw the two people’s actions and couldn’t control his own volume. “Aren’t you hurrying to get out of the car? Is this the time to take photos?!!!”
Gu Yesheng rubbed his vibrating eardrums and waited until Yi Jiamu had finished taking photos. Then he took Yi Jiamu’s hand and walked slowly toward the door of the car, his tone impatient. “We’re coming. Don’t rush.”
