IPCFS: Chapter 72 Part 1

Two days later, Ji Li spent half a day cooperating with the crew to finish filming the contents of the fly pages. Then it was officially completed.

Screenwriter Fang Zhixing’s idea was very unexpected. Once the movie was released, these specially arranged flying pages foreshadowing would give the audience an unexpected surprise.

Yu Fuya booked a plane for noon, and Ji Li’s entire team would leave with him.

As for the finishing celebration party, he planned to wait until the entire crew finished filming and returned to Shanghai to hold it.

Ji Li packed up his police uniform from the movie and put it in a dust bag with great care.

There was one month of group training and two and a half months of filming, so the role of Chen Xi was integrated into his bones and blood.

Some people said that being an actor was a process of continuous accumulation and integration.

Ji Li was convinced of this.

He enjoyed the process of accumulating his movie and television works. From Song Zhao to Xie Yan, Xiang Suian, and Chen Xi—after each journey, he would start to look forward to meeting new roles and starting a new life in the act.

“Meow~”

Snow Cake obediently stayed on the bed and accompanied Ji Li to pack his luggage.

Suddenly, he jumped off the bed and headed quickly to the door.

Before Ji Li could understand what was going on, there was a low whine outside the door, accompanied by the sound of paws pressing against the door.

There was no need to think much to know that Major General was coming.

Ji Li laughed softly and walked quickly to open the door. Then once he opened the door, he was stunned by the scene in front of him.

Qin Yue was leading Major General. The figures of the person and the dog were particularly straight.

“Brother Yue, you guys are…”

“I just went out for a walk with Major General. As soon as we returned, he got stuck at the door of your room and refused to leave.” Qin Yue’s expression and tone were very ordinary. “He probably knows that Snow Cake will leave tomorrow and he can’t bear it.”

Ji Li’s gaze moved down slightly. Major General raised his expectant little head and stared at him.

The dog impatiently slapped his front paws twice and let out an eager, low whine.

Ji Li understood the meaning in an instant and rubbed Major General’s head. “Okay, I understand. Come in and play with Snow Cake for a while.”

Major General received permission and his tail wagged wildly.

The moment Qin Yue loosened Major General’s leash, he rushed into the room and threw the soft Snow Cake to the ground.

The cat and the dog were having a good time.

Qin Yue’s gaze moved to Ji Li’s face, and he handed over the black bag he was holding. “This is for you.”

“For me?” Ji Li stretched out his hand to take it. The moment his palm felt the icy coldness, surprise appeared in his eyes.

“Is there ice cream in here?”

“It is ice cream for you.”

The two of them opened their mouths at the same time.

“Isn’t it your habit to eat ice cream when you finish?” Qin Yue wondered.

IHe used an obviously ordinary tone, but there was excessive focus on the young man during this period.

Four works, four finales—they were all accompanied by this man.

If this ice cream was specially bought for him and given to him, then Major General’s door opening just now was…

Ji Li thought of something and a bit of sweetness appeared in his heart. “Thank you, Brother Yue.”

“You’re welcome,” Qin Yue replied.

He observed the other person’s demeanor and a deep meaning flashed in his eyes. He retreated in order to advance. “Then I’ll go back to my room first and pick up Major General later.”

Ji Li picked up the ice cream in the bag and a thought suddenly popped up in his mind.

After this movie was finished, he probably wouldn’t see Qin Yue for a while.

For a moment, Ji Li stared at the man’s back and blurted out without thinking about it, “Brother Yue, do you want to come in and sit for a while?”

Qin Yue paused. A smile flashed on his face before he turned around and answered casually. “Okay.”

It was so fast that there was no chance for the other person to regret the invitation. It was as if he had long expected that the young man would make such an invitation.

The two of them entered the room one after another.

Ji Li stared at the man’s figure. His cheeks were faintly red as he remembered how he had abruptly persuaded the man to stay.

He took out the cold ice cream from the plastic bag and invited Qin Yue to sit down. “Brother Yue, you can sit down as you like.”

“Yes.” Qin Yue sat diagonally opposite him. “Eat quickly and be careful of the ice cream melting.”

Ji Li nodded. He forgot about how impulsive he was just now and opened the ice cream lid with interest.

Qin Yue saw his eagerness and laughed while teasing him, “I went to buy it just now and saw many children who wanted to buy it. They all liked it.”

“……”

Ji Li forcefully inserted a spoon into the ice cream and smiled. “Brother Yue, are you trying to say that I have a child’s taste?”

“It is good. Little friends should have someone to spoil them.”

A simple sentence made Ji Li instantly blush.

He replaced the original owner and became a young man among outsiders, but his mind was mature. In his lifetime, could he still be called ‘little friend’ by someone?

It had to be said that his mood was very strange.

Ji Li quickly put a few mouthfuls of ice cream into his mouth while trying to suppress the restlessness of his heart.

However, Qin Yue didn’t let him go and asked with a smile, “Little friend, is the ice cream delicious?”

Ji Li was stunned and snorted softly. “Little friends think that any flavor of ice cream is delicious.”

The ending tone rose softly and contained an indescribable arrogance.

Qin Yue suppressed his smile and got rid of the idea of teasing him.

Qin Yue casually mentioned a serious matter. “What are your plans after going back? Are you going to look for a new script?”

“I will first rest between ten days and half a month. As for a new script, Sister Yu is already helping me look for one.”

Ji Li didn’t want to stop for a long time. In his opinion, his age was one where he should struggle and work hard.

“If I find the right one, I will join the crew again.”

Ji Li still didn’t dare look head-on at Qin Yue out of fear that he would say something he couldn’t resist.

Qin Yue frowned slightly.

If he remembered correctly, it hadn’t been long since the young man debuted.

However, he understood that the young man had a career brain. The other person definitely wouldn’t be happy if he rested for a few months.

“I’ll contact Qi An and ask him to help keep an eye out for quality movie scripts. If there is a suitable role for you, I will have Sister Yu bring it to you.”

Ji Li took a bite of the ice cream and smiled. “If this matter is known to Feng Cheng and the other Yuexing artists, I’m afraid they will be jealous of me.”

How could there be a good movie script that wasn’t given to his own company’s artists, but given to artists of other companies for nothing?

“I will naturally leave them scripts that suit them.”

Qin Yue spoke like this and he didn’t feel like there was anything wrong. “Actors and the script should complement each other and have a natural fit.”

Otherwise, either good roles would be wasted, or good actors would be wasted.

A smile of approval appeared on Ji Li’s face when he heard this. The man’s view of ‘actors and roles’ was completely consistent with his own.

“In fact, I found that we have a lot of similarities when it comes to the treatment of movie and television works.”

Many actors in the circle felt that as long as they studied hard enough, they could interpret any role well. However, Ji Li always believed it was one thing to study hard and another thing to match the soul of the character.

A good actor meeting a good role that fit well would create a 100% effect.

Qin Yue’s lips curved up. He was obviously pleased with the young man’s simple words.

He hoped that his fit with the young man in the future wasn’t just with movie and television works.

Before the two of them could continue the conversation, there was a knock on the door.

Major General and Snow Cake pricked their ears up at the same time and headed to the door.

“Ji Li, open the door quickly! Look at all of the good things we’ve brought over!”

Ji Li easily distinguished Ji Yunqi’s voice. “Brother Yue, wait for me. I’m going to open the door.”

Qin Yue took back his expression and nodded.

Ji Li walked quickly to open the door. He saw Ji Yunqi and Yuan Yifei standing at the door and carrying a large number of items.

The former raised his eyebrows. “How can you be so slow to open the door?”

“Dang dang dang dang! Look at the good things we’ve brought you!”

Ji Li smelled the aroma of food. There was barbecue and other late night snacks.

In addition, Yuan Yifei was carrying two dozen beers in his hand. He looked like he was going to become drunk.

“You are leaving tomorrow, so Yifei and I will celebrate you finishing first!”

Yuan Yifei was a bit surprised when he glimpsed the ice cream in Ji Li’s hands and Major General beside him. “Where did you buy this ice cream?”

Was there someone else in the room? Could it be that the person was surnamed Qin?

He was just thinking this when Qin Yue walked over.

The expression on Ji Yunqi’s face froze, and he instinctively straightened up.

Yuan Yifei looked at Qin Yue and smiled faintly.

He guessed right.

“Brother Yue gave me ice cream.” Ji Li turned sideways to make room. “Come in, let’s eat together.”

He had been worried that there would be nothing in the room to show hospitality to Qin Yue.

Qin Yue didn’t say anything to refute him. He just looked at the beer in Yuan Yifei’s hands with profound meaning. “Your drinking capacity is light. Don’t get drunk after a few sips and need someone to drag you back to your room.”

“……”

Yuan Yifei instantly understood his friend’s meaning. “That’s right.”

He nudged Ji Yunqi, who was still stunned. “Or should we wait until we return to Shanghai to celebrate?”

“I’ve brought everything, and it is appropriate not to eat.” Ji Yunqi cautiously glanced at the producer Qin Yue and was somewhat reluctant to leave.

He turned around and said, “Let’s go to our room to eat. If we get drunk, then Ji Li can go back by himself.”

In any case, the crew would have a unified rest day tomorrow. There was no need to get up early to catch up with the filming schedule.

Major General was really greedy for the taste of meat and immediately whimpered in agreement.

Qin Yue glanced at his dog who ‘ate inside and outside’ and felt that he had raised Major General in vain for the past few years. Major General forgot about his father when smelling food.

Ji Li laughed helplessly and directly pulled the two people moving back and forth in front of the door. “Why are you making things so troublesome? Come in quickly.”

Ji Yunqi met Qin Yue’s eyes, smiled sheepishly, and quickly slipped in.

Ji Li gestured for Snow Cake and Major General to return into the room.
