FV: Chapter 13

After eating, Lin Luoqing returned to Ji Yuxiao’s car and prepared to go home.

The moment he got into his car, his phone rang. He opened it to see that it was a text message from the bank. Chen Feng had already transferred the money to him.

At the same time, Chen Feng called him.

Lin Luoqing picked it up and he heard the other person say, “The money has been given to you. Go and see Ji Yuxiao as soon as possible.”

Lin Luoqing glanced at Ji Yuxiao beside him and secretly thought that it wasn’t possible. The person was sitting beside him right now.

“I know.”

He replied. Then regardless of what Chen Feng wanted to say, he hung up the phone directly.

Ji Yuxiao saw him hang up the phone and asked, “Shall I send you home?”

Lin Luoqing looked at his watch. It was almost time for Lin Fei to leave school and he wanted to pick up Lin Fei.

“Send me to Zhenming Primary School. My nephew goes to school there and I’ll pick him up.”

Ji Yuxiao heard this and remembered that the other person still had a child. He hesitated for a moment. “Then should I also meet him?”

“That isn’t necessary.” Lin Luoqing refused. “I didn’t tell him previously that you are going to see him. I’m afraid he will be awkward if you meet him suddenly.”

“Did you tell him that you are getting married?” Ji Yuxiao wondered.

“I told him but getting married and meeting are two different things. He knows I want to marry you but it isn’t the same as seeing you without some mental preparation.”

Lin Luoqing said in a clear voice, “Next time. I will tell him in advance that you are coming and then you can meet.”

“There is no need to go through so much trouble.” Ji Yuxiao said. “We are getting married and you’ve met my family. Why don’t you move out in two days and come to live with me?”

Lin Luoqing, “????”

This was too quick!

Ji Yuxiao saw the shock on his face and laughed. “Why? You have liked me for so long. Don’t you want to get along with your male god sooner?”

Lin Luoqing, “……”

Lin Luoqing could only give a smile that wasn’t a smile. “Of course. It is just that the happiness came too suddenly! I’m so excited!”

Ji Yuxiao smiled slightly. “Don’t be too excited. After all, your male god is very good and is sympathetic to your crush.”

Lin Luoqing, “……”

LIn Luoqing felt that this person was really narcissistic!

“Okay,” he whispered.

He got out of the car and picked up Lin Fei. During dinner in the evening, Lin Luoqing told Lin Fei about moving.

Lin Fei paused for a moment and wondered, “Where are we moving to?”

“Aren’t I getting married? So we’re going to move to his house after the marriage.”

Lin Luoqing put down his chopsticks and explained it to Lin Fei. “He was in a car accident before and he was injured. His legs aren’t very convenient and it is inevitable that there will be bumps if he lives in our house. So we will accommodate him and go to his place, okay?”

Lin Fei blinked and asked him, “What do you mean by inconvenient legs?”

“He needs to use a wheelchair. Do you know what a wheelchair is?”

At this point, Lin Fei understood that the other person was disabled.

He lowered his head to eat the rice in the bowl and asked softly, “When will we move?”

“The day after tomorrow. You can pack up your things in these two days and then we’ll move.”

Lin Fei nodded. He didn’t say anything else and was as quiet as ever.

Lin Luoqing looked at him and felt he wasn’t a child of his age. He didn’t cry, make trouble or talk a lot.

Lin Luoqing raised a hand and placed a piece of tenderloin in Lin Fei’s bowl. “Sweet and sour. You like it.”

Lin Fei heard this and realized that today’s sweet and sour tenderloin was specially made by Lin Luoqing. He looked up at Lin Luoqing, eyes filled with 30% surprise, 30% doubt and 40% unclear emotions.

“Thank you,” he said softly and continued to eat obediently.

After eating, Lin Fei wanted to wash the dishes but was stopped by Lin Luoqing. “Go and read a book. Uncle will do this type of thing.”

Lin Fei looked at him again with those complicated eyes. Then he returned to his room, thoughts somewhat imperceptible.

The next afternoon, Lin Luoqing was packing his things when he heard the sound of rain.

He got up, walked to the window and found it was raining.

The rain was heavy and slammed against the branches outside the window. Many leaves fell in a hurry.

Lin Luoqing looked at his watch, took the umbrella and went out the door.

He called a taxi, reported the address of Lin Fei’s primary school and asked the driver to go there.

‘I don’t know if he brought an umbrella or not,’ Lin Luoqing thought to himself. Still, it didn’t matter if Lin Fei brought an umbrella or not. He was so young and it was raining. A parent should go and pick him up.

Lin Luoqing looked at the rain outside the window. He hoped that the rain would end tonight. After all, they had to move tomorrow and no one liked to move on a rainy day.

He had this thought and couldn’t help thinking about Ji Yuxiao.

Lin Luoqing took out his mobile phone and sent a WeChat message to Ji Yuxiao: [It is raining. If it still rains tomorrow, I’ll move in the day after tomorrow.]

Ji Yuxiao saw the WeChat message. He looked at the rain outside the window and replied: [Yes.]

It really wasn’t convenient to move on a rainy day.

Lin Luoqing quickly replied: [Thank you brother [kiss][kiss]]

Ji Yuxiao saw it and laughed softly.

He asked: [What are you doing?]

Lin Luoqing: [I’m picking up Fei Fei from school. Fei Fei is my nephew and his real name is Lin Fei.]

Ji Yuxiao: [Yes, my nephew should be finishing school soon. His name is Ji Leyu. You can call him Lele or Xiao Yu.]

‘I know,’ Lin Luoqing thought in his heart. ‘I also know that he is handsome, has a bad temper, an abnormal personality and is cruel by nature!’

Lin Luoqing shook his head and decided that after he moved in, he must let Ji Yuxiao discipline Ji Leyu well. At the very least, Ji Leyu should know that a human and animal relationship absolutely wasn’t allowed!

[Okay.] Lin Luoqing replied to him. [Then I’ll see you tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.]

[Yes.] Ji Yuxiao replied.

Lin Luoqing put away his phone, propped up his head and continued to look out the window.

Lin Fei finished packing his school bag and saw it was raining when he went out.

His other classmates hurriedly moved in groups of three to five with their umbrellas toward the school gate. They wanted to get into their own car as soon as possible.

Lin Fei had an average relationship with his classmates and he didn’t have any friends who were passing by. Therefore, he just silently opened the umbrella in his bag and left the teaching building without any hurry.

He walked very carefully, avoiding places with a lot of water so he wouldn’t dirty his shoes.

He looked at his white sneakers with a bit of distress. If he had known this, he wouldn’t have worn these shoes today.

The shoes he just washed this morning were very clean but the bus was always crowded on rainy days. If he wasn’t careful, he would be stepped on.

‘I will have to wash my shoes again when I go back.’

He bypassed the dense crowd at the school gate, carefully looking at the path under his feet as he walked out slowly.

He had just taken a few steps out of the school gate when Lin Fei heard someone calling for him. “Fei Fei.”

The voice was clear and cheerful. Lin Fei looked back in surprise. Sure enough, it was Lin Luoqing.

He saw Lin Luoqing standing not far away and waving at him while holding an umbrella. Rain was pouring down and he stood on the outside side of the rain curtain, across the not too wide road, smiling at him.

Lin Fei didn’t move.

Lin Luoqing had already walked toward him.

He was walking very fast and didn’t look at the road under his feet.

Lin Fei watched quietly for a long time before slowly blinking.

Heavy rain fell on his umbrella and on the ground in front of him where puddles had accumulated.

Lin Fei felt the stagnant water in front of him rippling in an obvious and clear manner.

He listened to the sound of raindrops falling, crackling like pouring beans.

He couldn’t understand it. He obviously hadn’t called Lin Luoqing. Why did Lin Luoqing come to pick him up on this rainy day?

Shouldn’t he be playing games?

He was thinking this when Lin Luoqing walked up to him and picked him up.

Lin Fei was startled and the umbrella in his hand unknowingly tilted. The raindrops on the umbrella gathered together like a string of beads and fell heavily into the water in front of him, creating a small splash before calm returned.

Lin Fei was puzzled. “I have an umbrella.”

Lin Luoqing carried him and walked forward. “It’s fine. It is raining too much and your footsteps are small. Be careful not to get your shoes wet or it will be uncomfortable.”

Lin Fei looked down at his shoes. They were still clean. They might be covered with a layer of water but the top of the shoes wasn’t dirty.

He went to look at Lin Luoqing’s shoes again. Lin Luoqing’s shoes were already dirty.

Lin Fei leaned into his arms, not knowing what to say for a moment.

Lin Luoqing carried him to the taxi, put him down and took his umbrella to let him get in the car. Then Lin Luoqing helped close the umbrella.

“Let’s go.” He got into the car and told the driver.

“Why are you here?” Lin Fei asked.

“It is raining,” Lin Luoqing replied naturally. “I came to pick you up.”

“Aren’t you playing games?” Lin Fei asked.

Lin Luoqing was a bit puzzled. “What does this have to do with me playing games?”

Lin Fei didn’t speak.

He also didn’t understand what this had to do with Lin Luoqing playing games. He just felt that Lin Luoqing should be playing games at home at this time.

This was normal.

This was Lin Luoqing.

It was different from now when Lin Luoqing came without being called.

Lin Luoqing saw that Lin Fei was silent and didn’t ask much. He just wondered, “Is it cold?”

He picked up the coat he had grabbed for Lin Fei before going out and draped it on the child. “It is autumn and raining. It is the time when it will cool down.”

Lin Fei felt this person’s movements. He looked at the coat on his body and felt it was even stranger.

He looked at Lin Luoqing with obvious doubts in his eyes. This wasn’t the Lin Luoqing he was familiar with. The current Lin Luoqing was too strange.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Lin Luoqing was puzzled.

Lin Fei raised his hand and touched Lin Luoqing’s head before touching his own head, wondering if this person was sick.

Lin Luoqing, “……”

Lin Luoqing felt the touch on his forehead and couldn’t help laughing. “Do you think I have a fever? You asked if I was dying and now you are checking if I have a fever. Do you think my body isn’t good?”

Lin Fei blinked and didn’t speak.

Lin Luoqing sighed helplessly and took the child into his arms. “Rest assured, I am in good health.”

Lin Fei let out a low hum.

Lin Luoqing touched his forehead. “Very good. You don’t have a fever either.”

Lin Fei, “……”

Lin Fei’s eyes changed to disgust again.

Lin Luoqing was helpless. “Can’t you be a bit nicer to your dear uncle every now and then? Every day, I know that you dislike me. Can’t you just smile at me?”

Lin Fei, “……”

“Are you smiling or not, smiling or not?” Lin Luoqing reached out and tickled his waist.

However, as the cold-faced king of hell, even if he hadn’t grown up, Lin Fei had no such thing as itchy flesh on his body.

Lin Luoqing saw Lin Fei looking at him innocently and was depressed. “You don’t even laugh at this.”

Lin Fei wondered, “Will this make you laugh?”

Then he curiously reached out and tickled Lin Luoqing’s waist.

Lin Luoqing hadn’t expected this body to be so ticklish. Lin Fei just scratched him twice and he couldn’t bear it and had to hide. “Who told you to tickle me? Don’t tickle me? Why are you doing the opposite? Hahaha.”

Lin Fei saw him laughing and hiding and couldn’t help increasing his strength. His other hand also attacked the other side of the waist.

Lin Luoqing hurriedly pushed him away but didn’t dare use a lot of strength considering the other person’s young age. He could only retreat and shout, “You are enough. Lin Fei hahaha, don’t tickle me, hahaha, are you finished?”

As he spoke, he raised his head and saw Lin Fei looking at him with a smile. There was a rare joy that belonged to a child on his face.

Lin Luoqing couldn’t express his feelings at this moment. It was as if he raised a flower with all his heart. The flower might not have bloomed yet but he finally showed some signs of sprouting from the soil.

Lin Luoqing laughed and let Lin Fei make trouble for a while. Then he took Lin Fei into his arms, leaned down and kissed the child’s face. “Why are you still bullying your uncle?”

Lin Fei looked up at him and thought, ‘Only you are allowed to bully me. I’m not allowed to bully you?’

Then he felt Lin Luoqing kiss him on the face again and say in a gentle tone, “Still, I like Fei Fei. Fei Fei looks so good when you smile.”

Lin Fei, “……”

Lin Fei turned his head away silently but his honest ears were a bit hot.

“Fei Fei, your ears are red.” Lin Luoqing approached him and whispered in his ear.

Lin Fei turned back to stare angrily, obviously childishness in his eyes.

Lin Luoqing covered Lin Fei’s ears and coaxed him with a smile, “It’s fine. I’ll cover your ears for you so others can’t see them.”

Lin Fei, “……”

Lin Fei felt that his ears were even hotter!

Didn’t they agree to get their marriage license the day after visiting the Ji family? That seems to have been forgotten.
