You Mian was pulled by the sled dog to a Heartbeat House made of ice.
There were a total of four Heartbeat Houses this time, located in the four directions of the ice sculpture town. Therefore, even if You Mian stood here and looked into the distance, he could no longer see anything except the countless gorgeous ice sculptures.
In line with the idea that he must fulfill the agreed obligations after signing a publicity contract with JL, You Mian dragged his suitcase and briefly explained some structural details to the camera at the door of the house he selected.
“It seems that the Heartbeat House is presented to us in the form of an igloo this time.” You Mian turned sideways and depicted the entire igloo with his eyes.
“When people talk about igloos, they first think about Inuit igloos. That type of igloo is a simple shelter in the extremely cold snow. It can be made with just a snow knife. The principles and structures aren’t difficult.” You Mian reached out and touched the ice in front of him. “But the building in front of me just has the skin of an igloo. These words are made of extremely hard ice.”
‘It is just a decent imitation,’ You Mian thought in his heart.
“It seems that the architects didn’t put a lot of personal touches into this Heartbeat House,” You Mian said euphemistically.
The young man wore a soft, gray plush scarf. His cold chin was wrapped so the cold wind was blocked. As he spoke, he narrowed his eyes slightly. It was as if he couldn’t resist the low temperature at the moment.
The staff member holding the camera said, “That’s right. After all, the shooting location is in an ice sculpture town. JL’s architects must match the style of the town. It can’t be too abrupt and look out of place.”
You Mian nodded. He thought that this was indeed the case. The style was much more restrained.
The cameraman saw You Mian shrinking his back into the collar again. He couldn’t help saying immediately, “The material for this part is enough.”
You Mian nodded to the staff member when he heard this. Then he walked into the igloo behind him with his suitcase.
He didn’t expect that the temperature of this place would be so low even though it wasn’t far from Huajiang City.
The moment You Mian stepped into the house, he was suddenly hit by the heat!
He now seemed to know what the four choices given by the show meant. It turned out to be the simplest and most literal meaning—The size of the house they were living in.
He chose the smallest one. The house in front of him also had the smallest internal area.
Looking around, except for the bathroom on the left side of the house, there was a large bed placed in the entire narrow but warm house.
You Mian pushed the luggage to the side. The bed in front of her was very wide and large. It was more like a kang than a double or queen bed.
He lifted the sheets and found that there were also ice blocks under the mattress.
The cramped and small space in the house felt like it would be full if one or two more people came in.
You Mian, who originally thought it didn’t matter who his roommate was, finally started to pray. He hoped that no one would choose this house.
He stood up and walked around the empty house. Finally, he found some firewood next to the ice door.
It turned out to really be a kang. It required firewood.
Fortunately, the show’s staff had already chopped all the firewood. He just needed to throw it in now.
But it currently wasn’t dark yet. You Mian got up and put aside the matter of burning firewood. It was already hot enough in the house. There was no need to burn firewood as long as he wasn’t lying on a bed of ice.
Suddenly, a staff member called out to him from outside the door. “You Mian!”
You Mian’s heart skipped a beat, but he could only go outside to greet the person
The young man stood at the door of the house and looked toward the direction he had come from.
The midday sun shone on the snow, laying a layer of white warm light. Accompanied by the sound of a sled being pulled, he soon saw two fat dogs running toward him.
The people sitting on the sled were Yun Guanqing and Pei Huaiji.
You Mian narrowed his eyes. The dazzling white light in front of him made him raise a hand to block it.
Pei Huaiji and Yun Guanqing walked slowly after getting off the sled. Yun Guanqing took off his hat and held it in his hand. You Mian saw the surprised smile on his face.
Yun Guanqing laughed and raised his voice. “You Mian! What a coincidence!”
His beauty was even more breathtaking in the snow.
Pei Huaiji followed Yun Guanqing silently. He thought about the scene where Yun Guanqing copied him as soon as he finished choosing and frowned slightly.
You Mian had a gentle smile, making it difficult to tell what his mood was at the moment.
Yun Guanqing approached You Mian familiarly and asked, “Have you gone in and taken a look? How is the house?”
“It’s okay.” You Mian felt that Yun Guanqing wouldn’t be used to it.
You Mian led Yun Guanqing into the house. Pei Huaiji followed behind them. He walked silently in with his suitcase.
Three people squeezed into the originally narrow space of the house. It suddenly became very crowded.
But it was slightly better than what You Mian had thought.
Yun Guanqing put down his suitcase and sat down on the ice bed. The two of them immediately heard him groan and get up. He turned his head and shouted, “What is this?”
You Mian couldn’t help smiling a bit, but he didn’t answer.
On the contrary, it was Pei Huaiji standing to the side who said coldly, “A bed made of ice cubes.”
Yun Guanqing hissed with a very unhappy expression. “How can we sleep here?”
You Mian pointed to the firewood at the door and said, “Burning firewood will be warm.”
Pei Huaiji, who was standing on the other side, took up the next sentence that You Mian hadn’t finished. “But there might be more games now. There is no need to burn it for the time being.”
You Mian and Pei Huaiji glanced at each other tacitly. They both smiled at each other.
Yun Guanqing stood by the ice bed and watched this scene. Jealousy soared in his heart. However, he tried his best to restrain the complaints that were about to come out of his mouth and put on a smile.
You Mian said calmly, “I didn’t expect that there would be three people in the smallest house. It might be a bit crowded.”
Hearing this, Pei Huaiji turned around to put down his suitcase and said casually, “I chose it first.”
Yun Guanqing: “……”
Yun Guanqing’s lips curved up. He smiled handsomely after seeing You Mian’s gaze. “The staff said that one room can accommodate three people.”
You Mian couldn’t say anything since it was the rule arranged by the show.
Just as the three of them were opening their suitcases and preparing to unpack their clothes, the staff members outside the igloo suddenly called out to Chairman Pei. Pei Huaiji looked around and heard the other person saying that he needed a preliminary interview. He raised his hand, pressed it over the microphone on his chest, and looked back. He glanced at You Mian before walking out.
In the small room, only You Mian and Yun Guanqing were left.
You Mian turned around to unpack his luggage. Yun Guanqing’s voice sounded from behind him.
“You Mian.”
You Mian took out a white plush hat and waited for what Yun Guanqing was going to say. He didn’t expect that after a long time, the other person would remain silent.
The moment You Mian unpacked his luggage and stood up, he found Yun Guanqing sitting on the ice bed again.
Didn’t this person just say that he couldn’t sit down? Why did he sit on it again? Didn’t he mind the cold?
Immediately afterward, You Mian saw an extremely gentle smile on Yun Guanqing’s face. It was a gentle smile he had never seen before.
Yun Guanqing’s eyelashes trembled when looking at him. Once he spoke, the thin lips, which had always been cold and venomous, changed from You Mian’s previous impression. “Don’t we see each other less often now?”
You Mian blinked slightly.
Yun Guanqing got up and smiled. His face, which was indistinguishable between male and female on the big screen, had a cool expression again, but there was still a sad look in his eyes.
Yun Guanqing suddenly turned his back to You Mian. The man took out a light blue packaging bag from the suitcase and handed it to You Mian.
“The temperature here is very low, so wear it,” Yun Guanqing said softly.
You Mian looked down and found a pair of plush gloves that were a light blue.
Yun Guanqing’s eyes widened, and he whispered in a very low voice, “Take it.
He originally wanted to say that these gloves were bought at a street stall to force You Mian to accept them, but a second before he was about to speak, he suddenly paused.
In those silent seconds, Yun Guanqing chose to cut into the truest and most vulnerable self and tell the truth.
“It took me a long time to choose this pair,” Yun Guanqing said. “Take it.”
It was nonsense that he thought You Mian was interesting, and it was nonsense that he thought You Mian was funny.
Yun Guanqing lowered his head and stared directly into You Mian’s eyes. He didn’t realize how fast his heart was beating until he saw the other person taking the gloves.
‘It is too stupid,’ Yun Guanqing said to himself. ‘Why did I only wake up now? It turns out it was love at first sight, but I refused to admit it.’
You Mian took the pair of gloves. Yun Guanqing endured it again and again before pretending to ask casually, “Have you been preparing for the competition during the show’s break?”
You Mian nodded casually. “Yes.”
Yun Guanqing smiled and said, “I have been filming.”
You Mian didn’t know why Yun Guanqing suddenly said this, but he soon heard Yun Guanqing ask, “Would you like to come to the set next time if you have a chance?”
Without waiting for You Mian to answer, Yun Guanqing said softly, “It’s fun.”
You Mian turned around and put the pair of gloves given by Yun Guanqing into the suitcase without answering the current question.
Suddenly, there was the sound of footsteps outside the igloo. Yun Guanqing guessed that it was Pei Huaiji who was back.
His Adam’s apple moved slightly, and he apologized to You Mian’s back.
You Mian was stunned for a moment. The moment he turned around, he saw an extremely serious look in Yun Guanqing’s eyes. Yun Guanqing’s eyebrows twisted sadly as he said, “I’m sorry for what I said when I saw you for the first time.”
Yun Guanqing’s previous apology in the Japanese-style house made You Mian feel no respect, only teasing.
Now the man stood in front of him and said sorry again.
You Mian smiled softly and said, “I heard you.”
This person deserved to be heard.
Yun Guanqing’s long hair fluttered around his shoulders. Once he heard this, his narrow eyes slightly curved, and his eyes were extremely affectionate. It could be seen that this flawless face didn’t approach You Mian rudely like he did many times before. Yun Guanqing kept standing where he was, and he even took a few steps back.
Pei Huaiji stood at the door and waited until there was no sound inside before choosing to walk in.
Yun Guanqing immediately turned around to cover his reddish eyes. He thought angrily that the old man was mature and steady. He knew not to interrupt the previous scene.
The moment Pei Huaiji came in, Guan Tong’s voice was heard loudly from outside. “Is this the smallest room? Who is in it?”
The moment You Mian looked up, he saw Guan Tong barging in. Guan Tong couldn’t hide his overly surprised expression when he found three people in the house.
“No way? There are three of you!”
You Mian shrugged helplessly.
Guan Tong said with a smile, “Don’t unpack now. Let’s go eat. There is a self-service revolving hot pot restaurant next to the very large house I am staying in! I called everyone else over. Now you are the only ones left!”
Guan Tong said excitedly, “I also specially brought flying chess and Monopoly this time. Everyone will play together after dinner in the evening!”

Thank you for the update ❤️
Thanks for the chapter! The bouncy little guy really gives a lot liveliness to this group of too serious people
Thank you for the update ☺️
Actually, that guy isn’t that bad, just a bit of an idiot and he found his karma himself 😩
Thanks for the update!! 🤩🤩🤩
I understand why YGQ deserved to be heard and forgiven. Because in both lifetimes, he isn’t a childhood friend of 10 years nor he is a best friend of +-5 years that should understand what makes You Mian a You Mian. He meet with incitation and saw You Mian for like months (?) and realised You Mian’s worth and immediately after, apologising sincerely. But that is all to it lol. Brother Chair is the OTP!
You Mian is someone who takes first impressions pretty seriously and YGQ made a terrible one. While he may be willing to forgive him, it doesn’t mean he’s willing to accept any kind of relationship with YGQ. Plus, he knows that YGQ has a pretty poor personality, so why would he bother?
I love how You Mian just said “I heard you” not “I forgive you.” Acknowledging the apology without actually accepting it.
