CEFYMA: Chapter 118 Part 2

You Mian came out of the bathroom and found that Pei Huaiji had actually brought the meal into the bedroom.

“Eat here?” You Mian was stunned.

Pei Huaiji rolled up his shirt sleeves and simply placed the horizontal table next to the bed.

This person who was obsessed with cleanliness said calmly, “Because you seem to be very sleepy. You can sleep for a while after eating.”

You Mian approached in a daze. There was a sumptuous breakfast on the table.

Pei Huaiji looked at him with a smile in his eyes. “Did you fall asleep?”

You Mian smiled helplessly. “I’m just surprised that Chairman Pei would agree to let me eat in the bedroom.”

Pei Huaiji’s heart was gently touched the moment the title Chairman Pei appeared.

They looked at each other across the long table, but no one spoke first.

The kiss was long and passionate.

You Mian finished eating breakfast with red lips. On this rare day off, You Mian and Pei Huaiji curled up in bed again.

He never thought there would be a day when Pei Huaiji would stay in bed with him like this.

Pei Huaiji only said, “It is indeed rare.”

Pei Huaiji continued to work on his computer while You Mian picked up the A Midsummer’s Night Dream book.

Wagner was a person who loved to annotate books. After every paragraph that amazed or inspired him, there was his analysis of the sentences.

You Mian listened to the gentle wind outside the window and the typing sound of Pei Huaiji beside him as he flipped through the pages of the book.

After reading A Midsummer’s Night Dream, he seemed to be walking with his father through a memory of the past.

The clock on the wall gradually pointed to 11 o’clock.

The work that Pei Huaiji had been concentrating on seemed to have come to an end. The man glanced at You Mian’s stunned expression and couldn’t help gently embracing him and kissing him on the forehead.

Strong arms wrapped around You Mian. The two of them were in a very intimate posture at this moment.

“This is a pleasant surprise, right?” You Mian asked while turning his head slightly to look into Pei Huaiji’s eyes.

There was anticipation in his amber eyes.

Pei Huaiji gave the answer as soon as possible. “Yes.”

You Mian originally thought he would never know more about his parents. Now that he had this book in his hands, he had an idea. If he went to Germany, there might be many more memories waiting for him to explore.

There was anticipation in these amber eyes.

The man smiled and said in a deep voice, “Open the phone again and take a look. Maybe there will be a surprise.”

You Mian looked up doubtfully. Then he clicked on the phone according to Pei Huaiji’s words.

Before opening Weibo, You Mian saw the congratulatory messages sent by countless people, including Qian Li.

In an instant, all the thunderous cheers of yesterday seemed to reappear in his ears. The trembling joy and hearty laughter echoed in You Mian’s chest one by one, making a smile appear on his face.

“Gold medal…” You Mian realized it belatedly and smiled very cutely and gently.

Pei Huaiji agreed in a deep voice while holding You Mian’s shoulders, “The first person to win the perfect gold medal since the opening of the Star Cup.”

The man’s voice was full of undisguised pride, just like yesterday when he was the first one to stand up and applaud  You Mian.

“Chairman Pei’s trust in me is as good as ever,” You Mian teased softly.

Pei Huaiji nodded solemnly. He received the teasing directly and said seriously, “As always.”

The atmosphere gradually heated up as the two of them looked at each other. They kissed passionately in this intimate space.

Pei Huaiji felt the surging emotions in his chest. The muscles of his arms that were supporting You Mian’s shoulders bulged slightly, and his strong arms were all tense. It was as if he was trying hard to suppress some emotion.

The man’s Adam’s apple moved heavily. His habit of endurance made him slightly lower his eyes and look down. He restrained himself and stepped back to give You Mian some space to breathe.

More than ten minutes later, You Mian replied to all the celebratory text messages he received. Among them, Lin Yuqing’s tone was the most official and solemn. In his congratulations, he seriously asked You Mian whether he agreed to let the finalist works be exhibited in the year-end exhibition of Huajiang Art Museum.

You Mian believed that Lin Yuqing had helped him a lot. So he agreed without hesitation when he saw this.

Now only Qian Li’s text message hadn’t been replied to.

You Mian held his phone and finished typing a line before going to see Pei Huaiji’s reaction. He was unusually nervous, but his eyes were full of a smile.

“Is this reply okay? Take a look,” You Mian said softly.

After the show ended, You Mian started preparing for the finals of the Star Cup without stopping. This meant he hadn’t officially met Qian Li again.

It was pitch black under the stage at yesterday’s finals. It took a lot of effort for You Mian to find Pei Huaiji, let alone notice Qian Li who was sitting next to Pei Huaiji.

“There were so many things going on yesterday that I didn’t have time to meet Aunt Qian,” You Mian said.

Pei Huaiji sent out the message that was typed and said, “She will be happy when she receives the reply. She understands you.”

All the messages were replied to and You Mian opened Weibo.

The first thing that caught his eye on the hot search list was the entry about the finals of the Star Cup, followed by countless entries about the You family and Xiuming below.

Pei Huaiji casually dropped a bomb. It seemed that this was also the reason why he asked You Mian to turn on his phone.

Pei Huaiji said, “The arrest warrant was issued yesterday afternoon. The police stopped You Jiyuan, Bai Peilan, and Bai Lin at the security checkpoint when they wanted to fly abroad.”

As Pei Huaiji spoke, You Mian’s pupils shrank.

He clicked on the hot search term and saw the photos taken by reporters at the scene in the first blog post.

A group of over a dozen uniformed personnel handcuffed You Jiyuan and Bai Peilan. Bai Lin was also controlled.

In the video, You Jiyuan seemed to be cursing loudly. He was no longer in a suit and tie. Even his hair was messy from being pulled. He had an untidy beard and his clothes were untidy. He looked like a frustrated middle-aged man.

Bai Peilan and Bai Lin pulled each other and cried together.

Bai Peilan was no longer wearing any expensive jewelry. She was dressed in plain white as if she was wearing the most convenient clothes in order to escape.

A hideous and distorted expression appeared on the face of this woman who used to pride herself on being elegant. Her nails scratched Bai Lin’s arm. In the chaotic video, one could hear her screaming and getting a few words wrong.

The moment the police notice with white letters on a blue background was issued, the top management of Xiuming and Wanhua immediately held a board meeting to try to save the falling stock price. However, it seemed that there was no room for recovery.

Xiuming’s bankruptcy was a nail in the coffin.

Bai Lin sat on the ground of the airport lobby. He wasn’t handcuffed, but he was in a daze. Fear and helplessness were written all over his face. He was extremely frightened.

Everything in the past was revealed in broad daylight in a police report.

Once the wave hit, Bai Lin had no ability or means to protect himself. He just held onto Bai Peilan’s clothes tightly, hoping that the mother who protected him well for over 20 years could save him again.

But now Bai Lin’s hopes had been completely dashed.

All the dirty things they had done came back upon them. Public opinion hit rock bottom and backlashed. All their public relations tactics were no longer of any use under the authority of public power.

The entire blog post detailed how the You family was arrested on the spot in the airport lobby. You Mian had no intention of reading it one by one. He just glanced at it a few times and clicked on the comments. After finding that all the curses and cheers were from the public, he closed the entry.

[This big melon is so awesome. A whole family of murderers?!]

[Xiuming got its start by taking advantage of others’ mistakes. It is better for such a company to close down as soon as possible!]

[Yesterday, after the finals of the Star Cup, a group of Bai Lin’s fans were still online and calling out You Mian for failing to live up to the You family’s 20 years of upbringing. Now I want to curse him! He used someone else to take the blame and actually had the nerve to defend his upbringing. Such a person is simply the devil!]

[You Mian is really miserable. He was actually a shield that the You family deliberately adopted.]

[Bai Lin is shameless! This face of vested interests is disgusting!]

[Someone said in the live report of the Star Cup that Bai Lin’s fans were disrupting order. They booed for over an hour after the opening, which was really annoying! It was so disgusting!]

[Whose fans have been calling him a fake young master since the show started airing? Are you happy to be slapped in the face now? Whoever wants to be the young master can be the young master? Mianmian doesn’t care!]

[Don’t mention any nurturing grace. Disgusting people.]

[Everything has been revealed one by one. You Mian is so awesome. I didn’t expect him to be carrying so many things. I feel so bad for him.]

[The cotton workers are angry! I want to snort. Instead, I will go and eat some candy.]

[What bad luck. This family should be imprisoned together.]

[Miss Fang Xuenan, the third place winner of the Star Cup, confirmed on Weibo that there was a group of fans who booed and jeered throughout the venue. They were the ones who grabbed the tickets, so that the group of real audience members couldn’t buy tickets. Can such people be cured?]

[I heard that thousands of people shouted together. They took advantage of the fact that the law doesn’t punish the masses and thought no one would punish them.]

[The Star Cup officials only issued some tips and suggestions. Does it feel like this matter is just going to be left unresolved? I am speechless.]

[Murder! It is only right that a murderer should pay with his life. Death penalty!]

[D*mn, this melon is so big that I am trembling while eating it. Is Bai Lin the student expelled from A College. Is he in jail?]

[Above person, tell me?]

[Bai Lin was expelled. It is said that A College randomly checked the admission works and found that his work was fake…]

[It is so satisfying!]

[In the midst of the chaos, I would like to mention that I am a former staff member of Xiuming. The creator of the works that helped Xiuming make a comeback in the past two years wasn’t Bai Lin as the official said, but You Mian.]

[????]

[F*k, this family is so disgusting that it is a waste to use the word ‘disgusting.’ Just shoot them immediately.]

[My anger rose three meters high. I want to peel off the skin of these people. How can there be such a vicious, selfish, and disgusting family?]

[I just want to know how many years they will be sentenced to. Can they be sentenced to death?]

[Looking at the police report, the death penalty is confirmed. However, Bai Lin might not go to jail.]

[He was expelled and now only has a high school diploma… He deserves it.]

[Don’t mention bad things.]

You Mian exited Weibo and clicked on the number one trending search entry for the finals of the Star Cup.

#5th Star Cup final#

A large photo of him lowering his eyes and kissing the golden trophy popped up.

A smile appeared on Pei Huaiji’s mouth.

You Mian looked at the countless people congratulating him below, and his heart was filled with excitement.

Just as he was slowly scrolling through Weibo, a video suddenly appeared in the entry.

The video automatically buffered and played directly.

In the video, a young girl wearing a baseball cup, sunglasses, and a mask was holding an apology letter. At the beginning of the video, she said, “I sincerely apologize to You Mian for maliciously disrupting the competition process and interfering with the contestants’ creation at the finals of the Star Cup. I’m sorry…”

You Mian noticed the apology letter in her hand, which was several thousand words long.

Most of the onlookers in the comments area were reprimanding her.

[If you had known this would happen, why do such things?]

[Is it done with a simple apology? You guys were so vicious!]

[You disrupted the contestants’ mentality. Why not arrest you?]

As he scrolled down, more and more videos like this appeared.

The protagonists of the videos were different. Some covered all their faces while some showed only the lower half of their faces, but without exception, they all held an apology letter that was several thousand words long in their hands.

[Huh? Have they come to apologize?]

[Did the officials of the Star Cup take action?]

[The Star Cup is over. They don’t care about this type of thing. It was JL who started putting pressure on them last night. Chairman Pei personally came out. If they don’t want to be investigated more severely, they can only apologize.]

[It is said that several stubborn people have been imprisoned. They violated the Public Security Administration Punishment Law and were detained for ten days.]

[This will be kept in their file. Hahaha, they deserve it.]

[There were thousands of people, and Chairman Pei investigated them all.]

[F*k! So cool!]

[My heart ached when I saw the live report. Chairman Pei is awesome!!]

[The cultivating cotton base has been clearing fans since last night, fearing that this group of people would join in. They are on guard against it!]

You Mian was completely stunned and turned to look at Pei Huaiji.

Pei Huaiji’s dark eyes narrowed slightly, and he smiled handsomely. His mature and restrained temperament made You Mian’s heart skip a beat.

Pei Huaiji said in a deep voice, “They are lucky enough to think that the law doesn’t punish everyone and that no one will pull them out one by one to hold them accountable.”

You Mian’s palms were burning hot.

Pei Huaiji lowered his eyes, his deep brows revealing endless love.

“But I will.”

“The finals of the Star Cup required real-name ticket purchases, so it wasn’t difficult to find them one by one.”

Pei Huaiji kissed You Mian’s fingers and said, “I want everyone to know that You Mian has someone backing him up.”

“No one is allowed to mess with you.”

If this were the real China then Bai Lin would be banned from media appearances for disrupting social order and corrupting public morals due to the actions of his fans. Also, such fans would have simply been evicted from the premises. Attempting to disrupt the order of an event like that is more than enough reason to kick them out wholesale.
