FV: Chapter 65

Lin Luoqing didn’t delay. He said goodbye to Amy after finishing the makeup and went to the studio.

At this time, the male and female leads hadn’t finished their makeup. Only the second male lead, Zhang Quan was shooting the makeup poster alone. Lin Luoqing waited a while before Zhang Quan finally finished shooting and it was his turn.

The photographer was reviewing the photos that Zhang Quan had just taken. In all fairness, he thought his shooting skills were very good, but Zhang Quan’s expressiveness and appearance were relatively average. Therefore, he wasn’t satisfied even though he took a lot of photos.

Fortunately, the official announcement poster only needed him to pick out a few.

It was only a few photos. The photographer thought he could do it.

The moment he thought so, he raised his head and saw Lin Luoqing standing in the light.

He was wearing the most common white sweater and jeans. His exposed skin was very white. It wasn’t the powdered type of white, but a pure white that was as delicate and cool as white porcelain.

He stood under the light, his hair slightly brown in the light. His eyes were as clear as glass and he looked like a young man who hadn’t been stained by dust.

Then he seemed to notice the photographer’s gaze and smiled politely.

Suddenly, his eyes came alive. There was a type of sunshine and vitality of adolescence that came from inside him. It was like spring for a moment.

The photographer looked at him in amazement and secretly thought that the director was very good. The script said that the third male lead was only 18 years old and he actually found an 18 year old student to play the role.

This student looked very young. He was probably just a freshman of the film academy. Even so, he didn’t cower at all and he acted generously.

“Mr Lin, go a bit further here. Yes, a bit further.” The photography assistant, Xiao Zhao, reminded him.

Lin Luoqing cooperated and took another step.

“That’s it,” the photographer said.

He raised the camera, faced Lin Luoqing and adjusted the camera parameters.

Lin Luoqing didn’t have a thick face. His facial features were exquisite but elegant. He didn’t look aggressive, so he gave people a gentle feeling.

But he was very photogenic.

In the camera, his facial features were exquisite. His gentle temperament was magnified even more. So instead of reducing his charm, he gave off a warm, jade-like feeling.

The photographer became even more amazed and took a good shot.

Lin Luoqing heard the ‘click click’ from the photographer and didn’t dare to move for a while.

He had played supporting roles before transmigrating into the book, not to mention that they were minor supporting roles. There was no type of fixed makeup poster at all. Thus, Lin Luoqing found the fixed makeup official poster shoot this time really novel.

The photographer took a few pictures. Then he walked over and started to instruct Lin Luoqing to change poses.

Lin Luoqing had no previous experience in this area. Fortunately, he wasn’t restrained when facing the camera. He did whatever the photographer told him to do, whether it was being proud or laughing. He took pictures as if he was filming and there was no difficulty.

The photographer looked at the person in the lens and felt that Lin Luoqing was good no matter how he shot the photos. Lin Luoqing’s performance was excellent and didn’t seem at all like a student who was new to the industry.

“Not bad,” he commented.

He was satisfied in his heart and took several photos without knowing it. He was still taking photos of Lin Luoqing when Li Hanhai came out.

The moment Li Hanhai entered the studio, he saw Lin Luoqing sitting on the ground, tilting his head and holding the pendant of his necklace in his mouth. His eyebrows were slightly slanted and moved uninhibitedly. He looked flamboyant and youthful.

Li Hanhai was caught off guard. He remembered that Lin Luoqing wasn’t like this at the opening ceremony. At this time, his hair was drooping and his eyes were gentle. He looked obedient and calm and there was no aggressiveness.

Yet now he was as flamboyant as Meng Hua in the book.

Li Hanhai stared intently for a while and realized that the makeup on Lin Luoqing’s face wasn’t very heavy. He seemed to have only drawn his eyebrows. However, his hairstyle was very finely done. It was the type that a layman couldn’t see, but the insiders knew at a glance at the hairstyle had been carefully designed. It was very natural and suitable for him.

“Who did the styling for him?” Li Hanhai asked his agent. “I remember that the stylist of our crew isn’t a big name.”

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been so worried that he brought his own makeup artist.

“It should be Amy. After you rejected her, I saw her going to Lin Luoqing’s place.”

Li Hanhai was actually surprised that this person had some skills.

The photographer saw Li Hanhai coming and asked Lin Luoqing to rest, replacing him with Li Hanhai.

Lin Luoqing had just finished the styling. He sat tiredly on the chair and asked Wu Xinyuan, “Am I done shooting?”

Don’t blame him. He hadn’t done a photoshoot before so he didn’t know if it was over or just temporarily over. Then he saw that the second male lead didn’t leave and made a guess. “Do I have to shoot more later?”

“Yes.” Wu Xinyuan nodded. “You have to take a few more double photos later. Take a break first.”

Then he handed over a bottle of water and asked Lin Luoqing to drink it.

Lin Luoqing didn’t let Amy apply lip gloss to him. Only lip balm was applied, so he didn’t have any scruples. He directly took the water and drank it.

Soon, the second female lead and third female lead also finished their makeup and entered the studio.

Amy helped her colleagues style the artists before coming to Lin Luoqing with a makeup case.

She carefully checked it and saw that his face and hair were still as perfect as ever. Therefore, she went to the female artist with confidence, ready to touch up their makeup.

“Come to me if you have any problems,” she told Lin Luoqing.

Lin Luoqing nodded. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” Then she ran away.

Yao Momo, the female lead, was the last to end. She took a single poster shot after Li Hanhai. Then she took a double poster with Li Hanhai. Once Li Hanhai left, the photographer beckoned for Lin Luoqing to come over and take a double photo of the two of them.

Lin Luoqing and her were brother and sister, so there was no ambiguity between them. It was mainly based on warmth and bickering.

It wasn’t until the third female lead Wu Jia appeared in front of the camera that Lin Luoqing took a more ambiguous and intimate poster with her.

The two of them were the other couple besides the male and female leads. They had a happy yet bickering relationship and fought often. Still, it couldn’t be said that Meng Hua was disliked by her.

Wu Xinyuan looked at Lin Luoqing carrying Wu Jia. Wu Jia was hugging Lin Luoqing from behind. This made Wu Xinyuan’s heart fill with a subtle emotion. Fortunately, their boss wasn’t here or it would be really embarrassing.

But as a family member of an actor, the boss should’ve accepted that his husband would hug others… right?

Wu Xinyuan felt agitated and took his phone to go outside the studio.

He had to figure out where the boss’ bottom line was. If the boss really had an opinion then the boss’ husband might be fine, but he might not be!

Therefore, Wu Xinyuan called a number in a worried manner and asked Ji Yuxiao, “Boss Ji, I have a question I want to ask you.”

“Say it.” Ji Yuxiao was concise.

“You should know that Luoqing is an actor, right?”

“Otherwise?”

“Then you should know that the job of an actor is quite special. There is cuddling and hugging each other. Especially when it is intense, some artsy bed scenes are needed… you should be able to understand this, right?”

Ji Yuxiao, “……”

He hadn’t thought about this before!

Did he have the right not to understand?

His husband was now on set!

“It is fine to cuddle and hug. Regarding the artsy bed scenes you mentioned before, in order to reduce the pressure of passing the trial, I suggest that the crew delete it. This is good for all of us.”

Wu Xinyuan thought, ‘…I knew he would care!’

“Okay.” Wu Xinyuan agreed. “I will watch and delete it as appropriate.”

Ji Yuxiao was relieved. “How is he doing over there? Did filming go well? Has anyone bullied him because he isn’t popular?”

“That isn’t true. The crew is getting along very harmoniously.”

In addition, Lin Luoqing was much more obedient and excellent than he thought! This was going much smoother than expected.

“That’s good. He is very serious about filming, so take better care of him and let him act well. Don’t worry about the rest.”

“Yes.”

Ji Yuxiao told him a few more words before hanging up the phone.

He looked at the files on the computer and then out the window, hoping everything would go well for Lin Luoqing.

In this way, he didn’t waste his love.

By the time Lin Luoqing finished shooting the poster, it was time for lunch in the afternoon. The crew had ordered the meals so Xiao Wang brought three boxed lunches over. Everyone sat down and ate together.

There was still a filming task at night so Lin Luoqing didn’t rush back to the hotel and instead slept in the crew’s lounge for a while.

The director was really interested in Lin Luoqing after the script reading, so he specially arranged for Lin Luoqing’s role to be in the first scene filmed. He wondered whether Lin Luoqing only had line reading skills or good acting skills as well.

He would undoubtedly be disappointed if it was just the former.

But if it was the latter, he could adjust Lin Luoqing’s scenes more flexibly to mobilize the enthusiasm of the other actors. This could also be an insurance plan for him.

Lin Luoqing had no idea that the director had placed such high hopes on him. When he was called over to go through the next filming, he just listened quietly and remembered it carefully.

His scene was with Li Hanhai. The male and female leads were the biggest names in the crew with the highest pay. Their time in the crew was also the tightest. Therefore, other actors might have fewer scenes but the male and female lead definitely wouldn’t have a shortage of scenes.

After all, three months later, the other actors might have time to continue filming or do reshoots, but based on how busy Li Hanhai was, he definitely wouldn’t have much time to return to the crew.

So from the moment it started, the scenes of the male and female leads were filmed right away.

Lin Luoqing listened to the director’s guidance and practiced the positioning with Li Hanhai according to the director’s requirements. They checked the lines of this scene and started filming.

They were filming the second meeting between Li Hanhai and Meng Hua. Li Hanhai wanted to ask about Meng Tao, but Meng Hua talked to him in a sarcastic manner because of the way he embarrassed Meng Tao before. This caused the two of them to almost get into a fight.

Lin Luoqing had already memorized the lines for this scene and Li Hanhai had almost memorized them too.

During the script reading last night, he found that Lin Luoqing seemed to have already memorized the lines. So last night, he specifically memorized the lines for today’s filming, especially the scene with Lin Luoqing.

It was just that time was tight and he didn’t finish memorizing it until this afternoon after finishing the poster shoot. Then he started filming immediately. Thus, Li Hanhai reviewed it again.

Director Zhang waited until the scene manager adjusted the props. He asked about the situation of Li Hanhai and Lin Luoqing. Once he saw that they were ready, he gave a signal for the other staff members to start filming.

“Action!” He shouted.

Lin Luoqing instantly entered the state.

Li Hanhai saw this and frowned slightly.

Before he entered the crew, he had his agent roughly understand the situation of the crew’s actors. Most of the actors were from youth idol dramas and their acting skills were average. Some were even inferior to Li Hanhai, so Li Hanhai didn’t pay attention to it.

The only one he cared about was Ma Bozhong, the veteran actor. There was no need to talk about his acting skills. Li Hanhai was worried he wouldn’t be able to match the other person’s acting.

Then he thought about it. If he couldn’t match it then others wouldn’t be able to match it. He just needed to not be the worst.

Everyone in the entertainment industry had their own rules of conduct.

Li Hanhai’s rule was that he couldn’t be the worst.

If he was the worst then he would be eliminated. As long as he was above average then he wouldn’t fall easily with his popularity.

He just never expected that Lin Luoqing, who he never heard of and didn’t care about, would actually make him feel pressured on the first day they met.

He wasn’t stupid. He could naturally see that Lin Luoqing’s lines in the script reading last night were very good. The director was very satisfied with his lines and was even more satisfied with his attitude of memorizing all the lines.

In all fairness, Li Hanhai felt that memorizing all the lines was worthy of Director Zhang’s praise.

However, he was the male lead and most popular actor in the crew after all. He wasn’t willing to be suppressed by Lin Luoqing today in acting, so he hastily memorized his lines. He thought it wasn’t too late to make up for it.

Facts proved that his approach was indeed effective.

Director Zhang nodded when he watched Li Hanhai close the script and speak the lines fluently.

Li Hanhai was also very satisfied. Then the lines reached the place where Sun Zheng and Meng Hua were arguing with each other. The lines became longer and once he finished the first half of the sentence, he couldn’t think of the second half.

Li Hanhai got stuck.

“I’m sorry,” he told the director. “I can’t remember the lines for this part.”

Forgetting words was a common thing in filming. The director didn’t care about it and gave him the lines.

Li Hanhai’s assistant also handed over the script.

Li Hanhai glanced at it and returned the script to his assistant. Then he started filming with Lin Luoqing again.

Lin Luoqing re-entered the state and walked on the road with a calm expression. Once he looked up and saw Li Hanhai, he showed a disdainful smile that belonged to Meng Hua.

He seemed a bit contemptuous and arrogant. He obviously saw the other person but didn’t speak. He placed his hands in his pockets and walked like he didn’t see Li Hanhai.

Li Hanhai said helplessly, “Stop.”

Lin Luoqing continued to walk forward.

It was only then that Li Hanhai grabbed his arm. “I said stop.”

Lin Luoqing pretended to be surprised. “Eh, are you talking to me?”

Li Hanhai was speechless. “Is there anyone else here?”

“But you didn’t call my name just now. I thought you were talking to yourself. After all, you don’t seem like you have a good brain.”’

Li Hanhai instantly became angry. “You are in need of a beating.”

Lin Luoqing was sincere. “It definitely isn’t as much as the beating you deserve.”

The two of them faced each other tit-for-tat, not giving in to each other. A long time later, Li Hanhai said, “I just wanted to ask you how your sister is doing.”

“You really have no shame.” Lin Luoqing showed no mercy and talked nonsense. “She cried all night and didn’t sleep. She almost opened the window and jumped down. Are you satisfied?”

Li Hanhai was stunned for a moment before saying, “I didn’t think she would be like this. I thought she…”

“I’m sorry,” Li Hanhai apologized again. “I said it incorrectly.”

He checked the script again and acted out this scene with Lin Luoqing one more time.

Finally, Li Hanhai finished the lines in the scene without any mistakes, but Director Zhang yelled, “Cut.”

“Hanhai, you have to show Sun Zheng’s worry and guilt after believing that is true, while also feeling that he didn’t do it on purpose. Put more emotion into it. Imagine what would happen to you if you heard a girl wanted to commit suicide because of your doubts. Be more delicate, delicate.”

Li Hanhai nodded earnestly and tried to make his performance more delicate.

However, Director Zhang found that perhaps he was too worried about this delicate performance. Therefore, his expression was very delicate, as if pretending in slow motion. He seemed to be writing ‘do you see my delicate expression now’ on his face.

Director Zhang, “……”

Director Zhang looked at Lin Luoqing. Lin Luoqing was listening to his words, hands in his pockets and head slightly tilted and a small smile in his eyes. Looking closely, it could be seen that he had some bad intentions. He saw Sun Zheng, whose head was lowered with regret, and there was a bit more of a smile in his eyes. It was just that he hid it very well. He only showed it a bit inadvertently before restraining it.

It was very delicate and was in line with Meng Hua’s mood at the moment.

He deliberately lied to make Sun Zheng feel guilty. Now he got his wish so he smiled more briskly. From the beginning, he had no obvious bad intentions in his eyes but he was still trying to deceive Sun Zheng. He hid all of these very well. At first glance, all that people saw was his mocking sneer, as if he was really angry about this matter.

His lines were good and his acting skills were also excellent. Combined with such a face, how could he be unknown? Wasn’t this too unscientific?

Director Zhang felt that this person’s fate was really bad. Fortunately, he believed that Lin Luoqing would soon have his own name after this drama. After all, his ability and looks were really excellent.

Director Zhang looked at it and shouted ‘cut’ to Li Hanhai again.

Li Hanhai was stuck on this scene a total of five times and only passed the sixth time.

Li Hanhai noticed that every time Director Zhang yelled ‘cut’, it was because of him. He was a bit embarrassed but he also had some relief that it was over.

Lin Luoqing spoke to him politely and went back to rest.

Li Hanhai looked at him before turning to his assistant. “Go and find the works he participated in before.”

“Who?” The assistant asked. “Lin Luoqing?”

“Yes.”

Why look for his works? The assistant glanced at Lin Luoqing. Lin Luoqing wasn’t popular, so why care about him?

But in the end, it was Li Hanhai’s order and he didn’t dare to refuse. “Okay, I’ll give it to you later.”

Li Hanhai nodded and subconsciously glanced at Lin Luoqing again. He was very sure that his own acting skills weren’t the worst among the young actors of the same generation. Meanwhile, Lin Luoqing’s acting skills and line skills didn’t seem like a newcomer at all.

He should’ve participated in the works of some major directors before or should be a gifted actor.

No matter which one it was, Li Hanhai wanted to know.

Ah how can he be so good here? Wasn’t he just a small time actor before transmigration?

as far as I remember, he was a small time actor with no luck lol so even if he was good, he seemed so unlucky in his previous life that he never got famous
